I'm Chaleese! My favorite things include, listening to Taylor Swift on repeat, binge watching Stranger Things, and talking all things Harry Potter. I have a slight Diet Coke addiction, and I'm not even sorry about it! Obviously, I LOVE creating fun cakes, I have a sprinkle obsession, and I'm not sorry about that either.
I started baking when my 3 boys went to school full time. I had been a mom for so many years, after they left, I felt a bit lost. I needed to do something for me!
Never in a million years did I think, I would be decorating beautiful cakes, making successful macrons, pretty cupcakes and cake cones. I want you to be able to feel like you can do this too. All it takes is practice in YOUR kitchen. Trial and error, with a few tips and tricks from me along the way, and you will be amazing cake decorators before you know it! I have white chocolate bars instead of melts and I was just going to add food gel to them, would this still work?

Yes, but white chocolate likes to seize up when you add color to it, I would suggest using oil based food coloring if you add color to white chocolate bars. Good Luck!

What is the temp of the buttercream?

Just room temp, it does start to melt the more you hold the piping bag, so you can put it in the fridge to firm it up, if it starts to get soft while you're piping.

Thank you! In the video the way that I piped all the colors and then rolled them together, that is how they don't bleed together, you just can't let it sit in the piping bag for too long. 😀 Plus, it's all about your buttercream consistency! I just watched your Valentine's cinnamon roll reel on Instagram. Can't wait to try these! Did you roll them like s croissant just because? Will they need to bake any differently with a traditional roll?

I always roll them like a croissant. But, they turned out beautifully when I rolled them into hearts! I baked them the same as the traditional roll! Just watch them and when they are golden brown on top they're ready! Good luck and thanks for watching!!

Looks like there was quite a bit of over spray in places hun. .. but if you were happy with it that's what counts ! Might be better to paint it on or even dab it on with a cotton ball. Idk

Why not just scrape the excess candy melt off the mold before freezing? Seems like it would make the unmolding process easier and you wouldn't have to worry about breaking the tails while trying to snap off all that excess. Just a suggestion...

I've done it both ways, the tails break and are fragile either way, for me that way is just easier. You can do whatever works best for you! 💜
