Very good video with much info! You say that it can be damagade by water… what do you mean with that? Do you mean that you cant fish with it when it rains?
Like your honest distance with different weights and settings! Was thinking something was wrong with my reel and or setup! Everyone else said they were getting close or up to a 100 yards! If they are they must bed casting a 5lb lure or weight!😂
Great vid. Yeah, dropping that fish is one of those mistakes you only make once or twice. Im overly cautious about it now, ive had them flip off my board, etc. Get a hawg leash by cal coast. you can clip them on the leash and throw them back for a min if they fiesty or if you getting board ready...its the same kind of clip as the plastic clip cull tags so as long as you clip them good they wont come off. then when measuring, I alway flip my net around and put it at base end of board, then i have my board angled down so their weight pushes their head into the base...that calms them, and if they do flip off...they can only go one direction, into the net.
I want to know on the scorpion DC reel if I set the adjustment to W or A and I don't put my thumb on the spool it is impossible to have a blacslash Thank You
The DX 745c and 20 metanium is my favorite combo and very versatile. I throw jigs, swimbaits, chatterbaits, Texas rigs, 6 and 7 inch senkos, frogs, and buzzbaits.
I guess it must of been a small tournament/not that many people or something because I don't think a 2 lb. bass (at most) is going to be that devastating🤷
I've had this happen before. Sucks. Now I always grip the lip like I mean it. The one in my profile pic almost got away from the pansy grip I had but I also had the tail too. It luckily was tired enough to kinda give up on the wiggling. Swam away just fine when let go.
