I love my akubra plainsman that I have inherited from my grandad which makes it extra special because it was especially made for RM Williams at the time do rm Wilma’s do one off ranges of akubra or do they get akubras especially made for their stores ?
Thank you for your feedback. It is still the same great LTM6 from Tilley and comes with a lifetime guarantee, so you will never have to buy a replacement again.
I realize this video is several years old but I am trying to find a snowy river in a chocolate brown color similar to the one in the video. Is there any way to get one like that?
Can you give me some advice? My head circumference is 21.26 inches an I want to buy a hat that is 22.75 inches. Can this be made to fit my head with some foam tape or is the discrepancy to big? Thanks! ADN
Thank you so much! I didnt know they were 2 different caps. I always thought why some of new era caps were different to the others. Im so grateful that i can find the soft style that i love! The 9Twenty
There is a 9Thirty which I bought on our recent trip to Japan last May 2024. It's a cross between the 2 (20 and 40) it has a relaxed fit( nothing stiff) like the 20 but it covers most of your head up to the ears like the 40. It has a signature yellow stiching inside on the sweatband. But it's only available in Japan.
I need some advice. I have a Byron that is now 4 years old. Bought it from one of your competitors (😢). It’s a size 62 so has the thin woven head liner rather than the leather that all of the smaller sizes have (not sure why as I think that effectively changes the size - at least for the first year). The outside hat band is leather - and that leads me to my problem. My head sweats, it passes through the woven band and into the leather and the woven hat. The result is a greasy stain on the hat itself, quite brown as it passes through the leather. I’m reluctant to have a go at cleaning it as I’m not sure what to use on the leather, woven .reed and woven liner that would be safe to use on all three. From the feel of the hat, that seems to be coated so might be protected from a cleaner, which is my primary concern in cleaning the whole thing. Will I end up with a bigger mess. I contacted the seller two years ago and they couldn’t provide any advice. I contacted the makers a few months ago but couldn’t get a response. Does anyone in your firm have any advice that can point me in the right direction? Thanks for any assistance you can provide. Rob Ennor Ottawa, Canada
What about adjusting the band (if that’s the correct term)? My head is longer than it is wide so I can’t find a size that fits. If it works from temple to temple then it’s too small the other way and gives a red mark on my forehead. If I size up then it’s too wide and looks ill-fitted. Can you reshape the fit?
I have length at the back of my head. I find round hats like the cattleman are not good. The Coober Pedy and Riverina are good. In a western style the rough rider is great. And it's deeper
I have the Territory but will be looking at a Colly next because I have a long oval head and the Territory sits a little too low for my liking. I still love the look of it, though.
The Territory hat is the same as the Cattleman hat but bigger brim. Its a low profile hat, so the Colly would suit you more if you want a more comanding crown.
I bought mine probably more than 1 size too big. Let's wait till the Summer and I'm sure will try to "cook" it in the hot car. Filler is still not quite fit for me :(
I have owned khaki Territory for years and I still have it. I love wearing it. Being a Wyoming cowboy who traditionally wears a cowboy hat, I personally think the Territory by Akubra gives me more style and protection from the summer heat. Best hat to wear without a doubt.
I love both these hats one for work and one for dinner If I measured my head and get 60.5 cm will I get the 61 or will I have to go to the 62 to allow for 1 size shrink thanks
