An Gwang Hyeon is an artist based in Seoul, South Korea. He deconstructs music through ‘improvisation.’ Between notes that go over creation and death again and again-he fanatically delves into a point where the notation is beyond the bounds of possibility. His work is 'momentary' or 'provisional.' He doesn’t ‘make’ or ‘compose’ a certain thing. He simply shines a light on human tragedy, fate, and momentary intuition. He tries to strip away the aura of modern ‘conceptions and reason’. And he again tries to call upon the pure spiritual ritual of a primitive age, through his body.
This is the kind of melody thats speak to eveyone. Great exemple of how a music can really connects people. Bittersweet feelings, undescrible, the emptyness filled with memories thats make us human... 🤍
Got randomly recommended this and it's so good! I will be using your music as a background while I write my master's thesis - life itself is the most chaotic dream. Thanks for sharing this!
Improvisation does not aim to become a 'work of art.' Once the recording is finished, it is presented as is, without any editing or modifications. I feel that this is similar to life itself. To show the perfection of a life meant to be seen, or the completeness of a work of art, you would need to delete, modify, and edit out various opposing aspects to present it to others. However, life itself, with its dark sides, chaos, sadness, and pain, is revealed only in its raw, unfiltered state. In this sense, improvisation seeks to become 'life' itself, rebelling against all things that are contrived.
Dreams, the brilliant stories no one else can ever truly know, but yourself. So odd how the mind can busily spin a thread that can haunt you after you wake.
Growing up is hard, no matter who you are. As you grow up, people start expecting more, they start pressuring and thinking about your future. But what if you’re stuck in the past; to the moments of your childhood, peaceful quiet, sunny days in the front or backyard. To your embarrassing moments, to your first crush, first time getting an answer wrong. What if you’re stuck in the past and you don’t want to live thinking about the future.
Growing up is not forgetting your past, it's acknowledging that your past has molded who you are and learning from it to build the future you want whatever that is. You wouldn't have been able to enjoy the past you cherish so much if you were at the time worried about the future, you were just living in the best way you could in that moment. And if you were fortunate enough to have people build you an environment that made you feel happy in the past it's only right to give those poeple a similar environment now. Just live your life and look for what gives it meaning and happiness will come
the cover art really matches the vibe of the song, it's kinda awkward and unsettling but at the same time somehow wholesome. the painting looks like engagement. glad i found it!!
