Hey there! There is an oil seal already installed on the inner side of right side cover on 17:35. If it is possible, please provide me with its number or dimensions. Cannot find it in catalogue, neither on one installed now. Thanks in advance!
Reassembling my xr250 I spent an hour digging thru drawers, checking bags of parts and crawling around on the floor, sweeping out the garage, checking the driveway, looking for the missing WRIST PIN BEARING!!!ARGH! I finally gave up when it got dark, super angry with myself for somehow losing this critical part.....and then went to try to order one.... lol. You may or may not realize that the problem is.... 4 strokes dont use wrist pin bearings.
i got this same set on mine and honestly it does good just make sure to check the bolts that come with the kit regularly cause they love to come loose even with loctite i had one fall off on my shift linkage while riding lost the ability to shift and replaced the main bolts for shifting with some lowes specials and havent had a issue since
A question have the 84 XR 200 RFVC. Duel carb smokey on startup Suspect oil rings. And Valve stem seals have not rebuilt any 4 strokes is this the same engine only different displacement Cheers 🇦🇺.
The motor in the video is the 86-95 version. But the process is no different. If I were you, I would look online for a downloadable version of the shop manual.
Oh, and quick tip for welding: grind a chamfer into the pieces to be welded if it’s gonna be a butt joint. This creates a 'bed' for the welding rod to fill in and increase the stability of the piece dramatically since you don’t just tack the outside of the plate together but fully fill it with material, making it almost like a solid plate. (Hope you got what I mean, my English isn’t perfect…)
For cutting out the square hole in the bracket, you could also use a jig saw with a metal blade, some cutting oil and slow cutting speed. Nice build though!
@WeekendAdventureRides And a heads ups,no need to reuse your old bolts to fill the threaded holes, they supply plastic inserts for you,the 4 little plugs
Thanks for this video , I'm swapping the 47mm Showas from a Honda CR250R spare set onto a 1982 Husqvarna 250CR , improving the long-legged desert flyer's already plush but dated handling performance and gaining the much needed disc brake!
Second cut for sure looks better..same thing I did..hell,some of these rear fender kits go up to 2500 bucks! That will buy tons of other parts when you can do a cut job for almost free and have fun at the same time!
NO INSTRUCTION what so EVER!!!!!NONE!!!! The video is Fairly good??? How did he know which mount went where...? Hunt an {Peck is what I did an FINALLY they we.re installed@!!!!
Great video, helpful for when I do the same job on my sportster. Can you tell me where you relocated the circuit board too from the brake light? Thanks.
@@WeekendAdventureRides that’s my plan too. To run a light inside the fender. Between the fender and the tire, like the light on a V-rod. But I’m stuck with relocating the circuit board. I’ll subscribe and follow your build. Thanks.
Hey Kent! Awesome you’ve got a YT channel. Never knew. This is Ryan Garent from the Naches ward. I was just a little young buck when you were around. I don’t even know if you remeber me tbh haha. But love to content dude. Watching the XR250R restoration series. Super cool!
For future videos, any time you say, "Let's check the fit" you have to do "Fit Check" and tell us where you got that sweatshirt! (I'm available for marketing advice any time) 😉
