👎 What the h*** was this video about.....? Tons of people Have seen this kind of stuff... Just saying man, you aint gonna get no subscribers like THAT!
Google Toledo fiberglass in Many, Louisiana. Prices are on the website for a basic install without any damage. Price with damage will vary but if any damage is done, insurance will pay for it.
Hey man did you have to put any transom support in or is just mounted to the transom? I have a new motor on the way and just checking if I need to get one.
@@lakerunner200 are you on a hydraulic plate or manual? And is it a 12" plate? The reason I ask I have a 225 ProMax with a Brucato, 25P Trophy, tourney loaded can barely break 70 in the summer, 73-74 in the winter, trying to find a few more mph
@@1slammedEK I got a 10” manual. You might want to try a bravo. Those trophy props are ok on some set ups but a bravo 4 blade is a better choice and you might want to try a fury 4 or a fury 3 blade 25. I would try a fury 4 26 pitch if you can’t find a bravo.
@@lakerunner200 I kicked an blade on my 24 Fury the trophy was my spare, only lost 2mph off the fury, Had a 27 pitch bravo when the motor was on a 20XD bullet. But can't spin it up high enough on the skeeter
you will love it. just remember, keep it serviced, every once in a while check the oil and don’t baby it. The sho loves to be ran ran hard. My son is now using it for college tournaments and he doesn’t give it any slack. There are times where he makes 20-30 miles, some times 40 miles, and runs it wide open. I have 473 hours on it and it is still running strong. I’ve never babied it myself but my son gives it hell 😂. Never had an issue with it.
@@lakerunner200 3 weeks in and I do love it. Previous owner had it over propped at 21" for a 22' alum bay boat. I was only getting 4500 rpm at wot. Changed it to a 17" and I'm in range now. I just got the jack plate working again but haven't run it with just me in it. Last outing I was able to hit 48 at 5300 but we had a tube and 2 adults and 2 kids in it.
@@sheaffergrubbs6056 I just did the 100 hr service on it and it's been great so far. Plenty of torque for a hole shot if needed. It's just a solid beast for sure.
Can it be done without flipping the boat over? I can hang my old boat with my gantry lift and 2 cherry pickers. It's not worth doing a 3000 dollar procedure. But to get the texture when I spray it underneath is my concern without just trial and error experiments. If my boat was much newer it would be at your shop ASAP.
@@lakerunner200 right but it’s they are all the same block, i’m sure there’s differences between the sho and the offshore model in the engine but they are built form the same block
@@lakerunner200 yeah also since 300 hp is the highest hp they make out of that block i feel like an sho 300 would be to much power for the engine and making it unreliable
@@lakerunner200 heck yeah I figured it was. I see your posts on the Skeeter FB page a good bit. I have a 1999 zx185c I've had for a year. I'm waiting to see what the insurance does about it. I have $3500 in hull damage and the surveyor found out I have a broken stringer so I'm not sure if they will total it or what. If it is totaled there's a 2000 ZX202C about 4 hours from me with a 225 OX66 I want to get.
@@tlalexander3 they might. Depends on cost for repair and value of it. If repair is like 80% of value, they will total it but you can buy it back for a few hundred and take the money and have it repaired. You’ll have to get a certificate showing its seaworthy and repairs have been made to get it insured again though. It’s no big deal doing that.
@@lakerunner200 if I can buy it back I’m gonna do that and part it out. The motor has a new lower and power head. It’s a 175 vmax carbed and I should be able to get about 4-5000 for it at least. And the trailer is a dual axle but I might keep it until I find out if I’m getting another zx185c or a zx190 that is the same size since I can’t find many with the dual axle. Plus the boat has new carpets, seats, latches, gauges etc so I might could sell the hull and get a good amount too
panamacitybeachbum if it’s rated for a 250 then get that. What ever it is rated for, get that hp. Follow the book on break in. At the first service after break in, make sure they change the spark plugs. That’s important. The plugs will foul out during break in. After break in let that beast eat. The sho was designed to run and not pampered. It loves it
@@lakerunner200 The max horsepower for the Sailfish is 200. I'm installing a jackplate . With a jackplate I can run my lower unit higher with less drag.
Kiel Kelly 76mph with a 26 pitch FXP. I have a 27m Yamaha prop I used in this video that will run 80mph but I don’t use it much. It’s been cut and shaved so it might break a blade. Also have a coating on the bottom called a gorilla hull that gains a few mph also so that helped.
carbonflinger1 normally run a fxp 26 pitch. This day I was running a Yamaha 27m. Only performance difference in the fxp 26 and 27m is the 27m is faster. I don’t run the 27m much. Blades are thin and might break so I mostly use the fxp prop. The 27m is just my play prop and it’s a prop I had on my old engine.
I have a 1999 ZX210C and just installed a 2019 225HP V MAX SHO. Here in NEBRASKA i have not even had a chance to take it out and start the break in. Lakes have ice. My Boat is also the same colors as yours
