as someone who can't afford serum/doesnt know where to rip it from, this is unreal. thank you you legend, more bass on the ableton default tables would be god tier
Very helpful video man! I'm very much a novice with production so a lot of your artist-specific videos go over my head as I struggle to understand the intentionality behind all the decisions you make (not your fault I just need more knowledge). I would love to see more videos like this one where you go in depth on specific aspects of production and explain in simpler terms why you do things in a certain way. I loved your video on chopping and layering breaks from a couple years ago as well. I also think they'll help me become a better producer as here you teach skills that help you craft your own sounds rather than emulating what other artists are doing. Still love your artist specific videos and I'm sure that's what most of your audience are interested in, but I find this way more helpful at my current level. Especially since no one else is really making tutorials around UK underground music at your level of quality.
Glad you got a lot out of this! There'll be a combination of this in-depth/beginner friendly stuff and the 'in the style of' going forward most likely. Probably some short-form content as well.
Good shout. Al Wootton and others on Livity Sound make this too. I’ve been struggling to define a genre but grime techno is a good name. The MJK track on the Obligated VA would be a perfect choice
Best tutorials out there !! Thank you for that ! I was thinking it would be so helpful if you could do a mixing/mastering tutorial to teach how to make everything sound club ready
Thanks for this! Om is one of my favorite producers of all time and I tend to cane his releases for months on end. Even though it's not my own genre for production, it is my inspiration to keep plugging away.
The people need a footwork jungle tutorial! Polo Lilli, Samurai Breaks etc. Just can’t figure out how to make it sound hard and no other tutorials online !
