I played this at wonderland arcade in Salem, Oregon when it came out! I did this trick many times blew peoples minds and mine the first time. The first time it was an accident and no one knew you could. I was a freshman in High School when this game came out.
I bet they created this to be a normal part of the game, but ultimately decided it wasn't that great visually, and just tucked it away as an Easter egg.

I know it's because having a lore-accurate krogan fight in a cutscene will be impossible in UE3, but I like to think Mordin _would_ know exactly where to shoot to drop a Krogan in one shot.
I would say it's relatively good, sheperd didn't overpower the krogan he just kicked the gun away and the others are efficient enough in combat to know were to shoot a krogan
The vast majority of the voice acting in this game is meh at best and god awful at worst, but damn this scene you can really tell Gerald’s voice actor was putting everything into this part.
