See the latest videos from Ravinia! Since 1904 Ravinia has been Chicago's "sound of summer," a place where you can meet up with your friends and hear some of the greatest music in the world. Each summer Ravinia presents everything from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to jazz, dance, country, rock and pop on its three stages. But there's more to Ravinia than merely the world's greatest music. The not-for-profit festival hosts emerging artists at Ravinia's Steans Music Institute and serves over 75,000 people through its Reach Teach Play education programs. For as many people who walk through Ravinia's gate each summer, there are just as many ways to enjoy what we call "The Ravinia Experience"-whether it be a picnic on the lawn or a dinner at one of the in-park restaurants and seats in the Pavilion.
No "help" in the app. Easy to load the app and enter ticket codes, BUT, if the bar codes on transferred tickets are blurred out, what does that mean? No explanations given of various ticket glitches.
So wonderful to hear this..Thank you both for sharing.your musical expertise and also the artists as well. I just came across this exceptional master class. Thank you..❤
Hi Kenny, in this case, please give the box office a visit during business hours or prior to the performance start time and we will be happy to get the tickets for you.
What a miserable way to have to get tickets. What if my batter runs out, what if I can't connect to the Internet (very common in Lake County). No paper backup failsafe. I hate this.
Thank you for your question! If someone does not have a cellphone or if it is not working, they can visit the box office in person (during our business hours) or before the performance, and we'll be happy to help them get their tickets.
@@ravinia As feedback Ravinia, I'm not a fan of "apps" on my phone especially something I'm going to use only twice this year. It is just Ravina spying .
Hello! In order to transfer tickets, you need to transfer each ticket individually. When you click on the show you want to transfer tickets to, you will then click on each individual ticket and send them 1 by 1.

Once I go to my tickets and click on them, I don't see/have the option to send or transfer them. The forward option isn't visible or there? Is this only available day of show or something?
Thanks for your question! Tickets appear 7 days prior to the performance date. If you're within that window and still having trouble seeing them, please reach out to our customer service team at customerservice@ravinia.org.

Having an App is great, but transferring tickets is VERY cumbersome. I use a windows laptop, I prefer my laptop over my iphone and my ipad. 1) I cannot download the App on a Windows machine. 2) sending a code and requiring all people to download the app is also cumbersome- some people only come to one or two concerts a year - everyone already has too many apps on their phones. 3) transferring one at a time is also cumbersome- you realize that many COUPLES attend concerts. 4) Screenshots of tickets are ok, but again, one at a time is cumbersome- the problem with phones and ipads is that there is no way to build files to organize all tickets. Suggestions - 1) is there a google app that can be downloaded on a windows machine? I am not transferring that many tickets- another couple for 3 shows, and their 3 adult children for one of those shows to celebrate a birthday . You make it very difficult.
Marin should be the only conductor he uses to play this piece. Night and day difference from all the other "great conductors" who plodded along ignoring him and orchestras drowning him out.
Before I make my comment I want to say that I am a huge fan of Yunchan Lim and his Rachmaninov 3 has abosolutly blown me away, in the Van Cliburn, in Boston, Hollywood Bowl etc. But WHY in this performance did he simplify the section from 2.23? He has no need to as he can certainly play what is written perfectly. Nobody else has ever done that. Was it a memory lapse?
