My Gawd...im writing this comment after picking up my jaw from the floor...Shankar ji has hit this one out of the park here...i dont even have the words to describe how stellar of a performance he has given and for him, it seemed like usual business. Good lord, this is what actual talent sounds like. Hats off!
I think you are inspired here by this live version of Mitwa but don't forget that music director was Shanker himself and he prefers Shafqat over him he could have sung by himself but he didn't. What I feel is that the Shafqat voice was more suited and powerful as playback for this song on screen as he has more range and he belongs to a classical singing family. Shanker's voice is no doubt also fantastic but it lacks the range which Shafqat have.
Extremely rare to have such out of the world combo of immensely talented composers - that is this trio!! They complement each other so well! Blessed to have heard and enjoyed their creations and looking forward to many more! 👌
