For inexperienced anglers I would have to say Weedless Ned rig and crank baits. Had my neighbor and his two teenage boys on the boat last evening for 3 hours and we killed it. Both those techniques and we caught 27 fish.
I think that's awesome to take your son out to have some fun. I have to admit that you need some lessons on how to back boat someone. Just out of curiosity do you get crap for wearing that sweatshirt up there?
Awesome video! Best one I’ve seen today on all my subscribed channels combined! Great job Hank, puttin the smack down on old pops! I still remember out fishing my grandad when I was a bit younger than Hank and I’m over 50 now; lots of good memories there! Congrats Matt on a great effort 🙂
YEP ,,, a butt whooping. But ,,,, in all fairness Matt ,,, you were handicapping yourself. That clear of water ,,, you need to be throwing out deeper on those points. OPE ,,,, did I just give away the secret ?!?
If that was your real picture, you wouldn’t be hacking a fishing channel! Give it a rest, it’s a family show about a father enjoying time with his son🖕
All the points I would have made. The only other is they get used to sound and commotion and sometimes use it to their advantage like high boat traffic and the waves generated by it.
Great video Matt. How many fish did you catch that day? Holy cow! Can you tell me how often are you retying in order to make sure you aren't losing lures with all those pike catches? Thanks for the video.
Well I’m pretty old school been fishing since the late 1960s as a kid. In my opion you must be good at top water fishing .. And I’ll agree with soft plastics Texas Rig or Free Rig etc. After that crank baits , jerk baits , spin baits , jigging it’s all important . Frist would be top water and 2nd would be soft plastics. 3rd would be a jump ball. 🤔 Getting a tad off topic is casting . You really need to be proficient . I’m going into my 60s and my fishing lives and dies but the top water bite .
