What’s your scientific logic that one piece rotor will see brake fade sooner? The more weight the rotor is, the less temperature it will be from same amount of heat.
I don’t think you’ll see too much of a difference in temps for the front rotors since they are both vented. The big difference for the rear was the result of going from a solid rotor to a vented rotor. But you’ll find out soon enough
Agreed. Not that big of a difference on the front. I got on average about 2x track days more our of my pads with the 2pc fronts. Rears though, have been on the car for like 3 years now and still going 😅 That is where I think he will see the biggest improvement
@@aryitzu yes! will be upgrading to the urge rear rotors after the next few track days. One thing i forgot to mention in the video is how your track pads can last so much longer with two piece rotors. Those consumables add up big time
Glad your s2000 is back up and running! Excited to see what you do next. The ASM front and rear bumpers are looking great. Now you definitely need the ASM hood
Key factor is that the door needs modifying for the radio door to shut flush? Is that correct? You need to modify the radio door inner plastics correct?
when i did this install i thought that you had to trim the door. since i posted this video, a few people have told me that you can get it to fit without having to trim the door. ive already cut mine so i never tested repositioning the mount. pls report back if you get it to fit without trimming the door lol. apparently all you have to do is adjust the placement of the mount on the radio
@zaahidrahman , thanks for getting back to me and your great contribution to the S2k's community. Keep it up. This radio is great. Also tempted to the absolute electronix kit. But i think the S2k is something raw and that's why we loved it so much. Cheers
I love the build so far. Glad she’s driving again. Hope I can update the suspension on the with different bushings and OS Giken diff. I think you should get a the ASM mugen Wing. Not the 10,000 one, oh though that would be cool.
It actually is. It's small, light, practical, spacious, tough, reliable and capable. If only it had a turbo. European models with diesel engines are actually perfect.
i reference the images in this s2ki thread but in all honesty, i just ball parked it. www.s2ki.com/forums/s2000-cr-club-racer-edition-279/cr-wing-install-non-cr-trunk-lid-1175816/ the way these parts are designed, it doesnt have to be exact to do it's job. I'm sure there is optimal placement (which I think we achieved in our video) but if you're off by a few millimeters on the trunk stoppers im sure you'll be fine.
i chose to roll my fenders to upgrade to a bigger wheel/tire in the future. you could definitely find a wheel that clear these brakes without a spacer and in that case you wouldnt need to roll your fenders.
amazingly the mf10 took hardly any damage. a tiny bend that i had repaired and some surface scratches. i left the scratches on the face of the wheel because i like the battle scars 😂
@@zaahidrahman Thanks but I meant the plastics on the center console. My AP1 is Suzuka blue so it has the blue leather interior along the center console, not carpet. Which is perfect in every way. Best S2K color.
@@Robin-xe4yz oh! my bad haha. i think i got all the parts from Mita motorsports but they might be totally discontinued at this point. love a suzuka blue interior
