Hi! I'm a 27-year old, full-time working parent figuring out personal finance. I've gone from having thousands in credit card debt, and living month-to-month, to now being in a place of financial stability. It's been a long journey of learning, and so with this channel, I want to candidly share my real experiences as I continue to navigate personal and family finance for a better future. I aim to open up conversations on real life, money & all the feelings that come along the way.
Completely relate to how unrealistic 50/30/20 is. Read a money article this morning that mentioned how they’re applying the “standard rule” of not spending more than 30% of your monthly income on rent and literally laughed out loud …. living in London you’d have to be on a ridiculously high salary for this to apply to you! And in most places in the UK too I imagine
My advice to everyone is this : if you want to grow big this year especially in your finances. Be willing to make investments. Saving is great but investing puts you on a pedestal where you wouldnt have to worry about savings as you do now. Thanks to larysa Caba, my portolio is doing really great and im proud of the decisions i made last year.
I feel one Of the greatest challenges that we first timers face in the ma rket is that we end up losing all we have, making it difficult to find ourselves back to our feet. My biggest advice is to always seek the services of a professional just like I did when I ventured into it for the first time. Big thanks to Larysa Caba. I now make huge profits by weekly through her services while still learning to stand on my own.
I think she trades for everyone I meet. I met her twice at a meeting in Germany and after her lectures from Ella I had to personally ask her to be my financial advisor. she is definitely good.
I have never seen a trader as open and transparent as Larysa Caba with her clients. The way she decides to make a profit for her clients. she allows you to express your fears and she still rests your fears and that is my respect. I don't normally comment on videos, but this word should be included. she is really cool.
I'm new to this and have heard that now is an excellent time to buy. However, I currently have cash sitting in my bank account that I would really like to put to good use because inflation is at an all-time high. Who is this coach that you mention, and do you mind if I look them up?
Omg yes the payday splurge...I used to owe Klarna every month but somehow in my mind didn't view that as debt...I cleared it a couple of months ago and haven't used Klarna/Clearpay since. Now starting to gain back control over my finances and it feels very freeing 😊
Love your videos Beth on here and TikTok/instagram! I still haven’t plucked up the courage to do UCG work 😂! You are smashing it. Can’t wait for more content. Would also like to hear about the journey of buying your mum a home. ❤
Great video Beth!! Would love to know more bad money habits and how you’ve grown in your money journey. Following a 0 based budget has been a total game changer for me as well, I love knowing everything I earn has a little job to do 💕
Great video Beth. I read about the 50/30/20 ratio and a bit like yourself was never going to achieve it as my essentials were closer to 70%. I stuck with the principle and went with 70/20/10 and allocated every penny and after almost two years of debt pay off and a change of car my essentials have dropped and I am closer to the 50%. Still plodding on with my last credit card but it does feel good when you see the balance hit zero. Will be binge watching your other videos. Keep up the great content 👍🏻
Hi Beth! Have started following you recently and have been watching your RU-vid videos about UGC work. What are the best courses of your to buy to start doing it? Also do you need a following to do it? Thank you!!
Oh my god!!! I mean, you warned me childcare is expensive, but my god! I wasn’t expecting you to say £675 split, like what?! I don’t have or plan for kids, happy cat mom, but my goodness, parents are amazing to juggle everything they do!
I love my kindle and if you have Amazon prime you can access free books too. I also like a trip to the library to feed my book habit, my little girl loves going too so it’s a cheap activity 😂
Just found your channel and love it! I love pay day routines and seeing how other people budget and prioritise their money. Your whole vibe is so chilled and I love it. Totally rooting for you with the £40k business income this year, you really do deserve it. x
Hi Beth, I love my books too! If you don’t already, have a look in the works as they always have good deals! Also would curious to hear if you think a kindle is worth it if you do get one☺️
Yes! We typically do one 'big shop' per month for cleaning stuff too, and most the time I forget a lot of our toiletries! So I just do them through Amazon during the month and count that in as my miscellaneous spending - find Amazon is cheaper a lot of the time, especially for bulk buying wipes and Ivy's haircare!xxxxx
Hi Beth. Just want to say that you are not alone! I Think a lot of us searching the internet for finance, savings, debt payoff, see a lot of pages/profiles with people that have payed tens of thousands of debts off AND now have huge savings after that. You are 27. You and your fiance OWN your home. You work, you Can feed your family, you Can pay your bills! I Think you are doing so much better than a lot of people. ✨ I am so Happy i found your channel, so much more relatable to me. Would you mind sharing your Weekly foodshops? I use approx. 700 danish kroners, which convert to about 70 pounds, but could use some inspiration. (And sorry for any grammatical errors 😅)
I don't understand how people can be so dumb and careless to acculate so much debt on credit cards. It's not rocket science. Just dont spend what you dont have. If you can't pay the balance in full at the end of the month, then dont spend the money. It's simple as. Stop spending above your means!.
I’m so excited to have found your channel! We have very similar lives, channels, and financial goals which is unusual! Loved this video and have subscribed 😊
The treat with money left is such a simple but great idea!! I too would think oh i will get a treat when I get paid- waiting until just before next pay is such a good idea mindset wise. Love your channel, you are so cheery!
I wish you wouldn't be so hard on yourself. From someone on the outside loking in you are doing really well (although I understand how it feels if the point of reference is ridiculously overpaid finance influencers etc). You are in your twenties with real expences AND you're raising a child! You're working very hard, with multiple income streams and you have a plan for your finances going forward. I think you're way ahead of most people your age. Give yourself some grace, you're doing great and setting such good examples for your daughter 🙂
Omggg we’re the same age! I’ll have just turned 29 in Jan 2026 😂 I’m so glad I found a RU-vidr the same age talking about finances bc the 20s are pure chaos 😂 I feel like I had a late start too bc I got a masters and didn’t start really making money until 24. I’m doing the opposite if you - hoping to have 3mo in emergency savings by the end of this year and have credit card debt paid off by 29. Just as a single person living away from family the savings will give me way more peace of mind than avoiding a few hundred in interest payments
This sound like a nice plan! I do own a home and am really proud of myself for that, but I do not have a lot of savings. I'm 27, very soon to be 28, and is currently working on changing that as well, maybe in a little more extreme way. I do want to achieve financial freedom, so that I can have more time to do what I love doing!
I'm 37 and I don't have 3 months of expenses saved! My salary stagnated for 6 years so with inflation etc that really destroyed any hope of savings what little savings I did have went on my wedding, the baby, my husband re-training so taking time out of work or emergency house repairs. Last year I switched careers and I have now finally been able to save despite childcare being so high. I have used a method where any salary increase I put that additional money straight into savings so I don't get the lifestyle creep.
You are not alone don’t worry, I’m 38 and have very little savings. A few years ago we were in an extortionate amount of debt and we have been working to pay it off (very nearly done 🎉) my plan is to put whatever we’ve been paying to that into savings to boost us up to where we should be. It’s hard being an adult 😂
Just found your videos. I’ve been thinking about starting making similar content to you. I also started uploading then unlisted the videos not long after!
