Regarding your last question, the answer is do whatever you think you'll enjoy! If that is creating content around videogames, just go for it! It won't become a burden if you enjoy it :)
Superior Spider-Man is a must read. Its one of the few series I've double dipped with the OHCs and then the Omnibus even though the content is the exact same. I actually just picked up the Superior Spider-Man Companion Trade, which contains Avenging SM 16-22 and SSM Team-Up 1-12. Then to go with that, I also copped the Avenging Spider-Man Complete Collection that collects 1-15. My semi bigger project I'm working on is getting all 31 Volumes of ASM collecting 546-697 (while also getting all of my other Collected Editions, NCBD pick-ups, CGC Signed Slabs, and Original Art). Somehow I still make it all work. I'm up to 26/31. I'm finally down to the wire! I try and get them all for under $15-20 bucks if I can. Keep up the great content! 👍
@@CadesComics They are some of the best novels I´ve read. They give more than the movies of course. I started reading them cause I just wanted to know more about the world and what´s to come in the future movies, so now I am way ahead. Love it!
I have that same exact problem... I have decided to step up my review game on the channel and that has helped. I am reading House of X/Powers of X currently.
Thanks for checking out the video, I should have mentioned in the video. I sort my books by publisher and then by alphabetical order within publishers. So at the top is Marvel and DC then within that it is Alphabetical. Then moving down into the indie/ independent publishers then finally at the bottom I have my other versions of books like the Eaglemoss collections which I’m looking to change out. Once I’ve got other copies of those stories I’ll add them into my collection alphabetically. For my not read side I don’t organise it alphabetically or anything as I’m always pulling books out and changing them around when I buy new books. My whole collection could definitely do with sorting out though haha
Your collection is really coming along nicely since last year . Very awesome!!🙂 And I'd love to see a review on Scott Snyder Batman. Its still my definitive comic book run of all time. Recently Spiderverse omni/geddon was gifted to me from my sister. Spider Verse is so good Cade, you seem like a big Spider-Man fan, so I know you'll have a great time. Many easter eggs and characters you don't expect to show up. I never did get around to reading Spider Geddon or End of Spider Verse. You've reminded me I need to pick a few books up also.😅 One day once I get some shelves I'll show u my collection.👍
Can’t wait to see it Stephen. Thanks for checking out the video. I’ll definitely do a retrospective/ some type of video on the new 52 Batman as I’d love to go back. And you’ve got me very exited to read Spider-Verse now too 😊
The thing to bear in mind with Vote Loki is the timing, it was a 2016 book lampooning Trump's first presidential campaign. In terms of where it sits in the wider Thor continuity that puts it post Secret Wars so after the Thors mini, and deals with a new iteration of Loki rather than the God of Stories we'd previously seen in Ewing's Loki Agent of Asgard. I'm commited to picking up everything Zoe puts out. The trade for her Hack/Slash mini is due this summer with the back cover featuring a photo of her cosplaying Cassie Hack at a recent con. She's also taken over from Emma Viecelli as the writer on Life is Strange over at Titan, not drawing that although she had previously supplied some covers during Emma's run and recently had an issue in the second batch of Creepshow.
Thanks for explaining that about vote Loki. Definitely makes more sense now about the tone of the book and where it sits. I’m also looking to check out Zoe’s new stuff. Can’t wait. Thanks for checking out the video 😊
So close too finally have allt he Bendis Ultimate Spider-man issues in Omnibus🙌 Nice recap haul, I´ve also been on radio silence since August, so if I would make a new haul video, this would be the way!
I can’t wait to have it all in the omnis. Going to do a massive binge read. Hope you upload soon, would be interesting to see which books you’ve picked up 😊
Have to say not to bad of a haul... I am on the fence of getting clone saga. I did pick up Ben Reilly volumes, I guess if I find them at a good deal I will have to pull the trigger on them. Gotta complete the Spidey collection lol.
Thanks for checking out the video. Yeah I decided to go for the clone saga books because of how OOP the last ones went and I just wanted to make sure I could read them haha
good reviews. im waiting on the 'complete cyberforce' and 'Palestine' tpbs to be delivered. I will give the 'lonely at the centre of the earth' book you reviewed a go.🖖
good to hear from you again. hopefully see more vids from you soon. just a suggestion but as you have a microphone, would you be able to do some podcasts about individual books? it would be really good to hear your views on the omnis and GN's you have. give 'Robservations' a listen also if you havn't ( its by Rob Liefeld). im gonna watch your july vid you posted now. hear from you soon 🖖
Hey Ant, thanks for checking out the video. Hope you liked it and hope you enjoy the July Haul too. I’ve considered doing a podcast or something of that nature and have some plans for this year so keep an eye out 😉
@@CadesComics I have not had a chance to read that yet but I was interested. Loved the movie and heard Tarantino speak about writing the novelization and thought it sounded interesting
Hey Cade ! I totally agree about the lack of motivation. I’ve been struggling with my mental health as well so it makes everything I love (including RU-vid) not matter at times anymore. Thanks for sharing man. I can totally relate. Welcome back.
Hey Cade. Happy to see you back.🙂❤ I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling that way mate. Mental health and anxiety is such a hard thing to deal with. My heart goes out to u. 100% relate, Probably mentioned it before but had life changing health news back in 2021. Anyway it stemmed further back due to extreme stress. The anxiety is still a work in progress but the last few months felt happier and started enjoying reading again. Not just collecting for the sake. Some advice, like I told Maddogg. For the slump u need to find the right work/life balance, focus on fewer videos but make sure they're quality. I know ur a big lover of films so maybe use different filming techniques could be cool to see.🙂 Either way excited for what u have in store.🙂 On a lighter note. What books are you most excited for in 2024? For me it's DC Versus Marvel and Ultimate Spider-Man vol 4.😎
Thanks so much for the kind words Stephen. I hope you’re doing okay. I’ve definitely thought about introducing more filming techniques and really want to try out some new stuff. I’m 2024 I’m also really looking forward to those 2, need to definitely put in a new pre-order with Forbidden Planet haha
Thanks Jenniffer. It’s nice to upload something again. Got a couple more videos edited today and queued on the channel so they’ll be coming out over the next week
Thanks for the lovely comment Stephen and for checking out the video. I’m actually going to film a channel update video and a couple other videos tonight. Hoping to get back to regularly uploading soon, can’t believe how long it’s been since my last video. Thanks for your continued support, it means the world to me 😊
Hey mate, that's really kind of you. Thank you🙂 Yay, really glad ur coming back. I was kinda worried since I haven't seen you on socials or commenting anywhere lately. Just wanted to check in ha ha. Have a good week Cade😁.
@@stephentheshywarrior2759 thanks Stephen. Yeah I haven’t really used my Instagram at all whilst I’ve been away but will be logging in soon to get back into things 😊
Hey, how’s it going? I was right into my comics back in the day. 2000AD, then, Crisis, Revolver, Deadline, and it seems as if they were growing up with me. I used to live in Brixton for a few years, and spent many an hour flicking through different current and old releases in Acme Comics on Coldharbour Lane. It used to have an art gallery of such in the basement where the up and coming could show their skills; rank with the smell of damp. It was cool, and I made a few friends in there. It became a meeting point of like-minds. It was also some sort of publishing house, and I got my first copies of Crisis signed there. I went to Berlin when the wall was up, and I tried to cross over to East Berlin through Checkpoint Charlie, I was alone in a car which had loads of cassettes and 2000ADs scattered all over the place; along with loads of other lads stuff. It wasn’t a tidy car, and they wouldn’t let me in cos of the comics and tapes. I went back to the hostel, cleaned out everything from the car, and I went back the next day. Not a problem. I just had to laugh. I moved away from London and went travelling. Comics sort of disappeared out of my life and now it’s 2024. I’ve come across a few of my collection dotted around the house, and had a re-read, but in the back of your head is the notion that you know what’s going to happen, and it’s not the same. I seen this very book in a second hand shop for a fiver just recently, I knew the lads from the comics mentioned above, but I think I’d moved out of England by the time Preacher was originally released and got popular; about 96/97. I had no concept of Preacher; neither the comic, nor the series. It was in good condition, the artwork invoked memories, and I had a fiver, so I bought it. It was a little bit mental reading a 96/97 graphic novel in 2024 with fresh eyes. My reaction ranged from: stupid, - to eh! - To get ta’ fu, - to ha ha, - then ‘I didn’t see that coming’. To brilliant! I think it would be censored more now than it was then, but not by the governing bodies; by the moral police. That’s irony for you. Again I just have to laugh. I’ve got the sixth book arriving on Monday, and I’m like a kid with a new toy. If you’re not a collector, and you just want a good read, you can pick up second hand copies on eBay for a canny price. All of mine have been in good condition, didn’t cost me a fortune, I’ll carry them around with me, and when I’m finished I’ll pass them on. Spread the love. Ha ha! I don’t even think I should be pushing the second hand market in a time when everybody’s courting the commission king, but there you are. Thanks for that mate I enjoyed it. Respect.
Thanks for checking out the video and leaving that comment. That’s all really interesting, I had no idea you couldn’t cross into east berlin because of comics and tapes. I’d love to go to Brixton and see if those shops are still there and check them out if they are. Hope you enjoy Preacher book 6. Let me know what you think 😊
@@CadesComics Ha ha, nor did I until then. When all's said and done customs bods anywhere can act like god wherever you are in the world, but my tenacity got me through. It was quiet bleak and stark compared to West Berlin, and you could still see the strafes of bullet marks embedded in the walls. It seemed that The Russians just let them rot in their city as punishment for the people they lost whereas we lent them loads of money to rebuild, and made a profit from the interest. Having said that some of our 'bombed buildings' (South Shields) weren't properly demolished and rebuilt on until the 80s. Acme sadly died in 1995, but Wikipedia will give you a good idea of it's history. I ordered a cheap second hand copy of book 6 instead of volume 6. The hardbacks hold more stories per edition meaning book 6 contained the final stories. I took it to Ireland for a week thinking I would have a good read while I was there, and only discovered my mistake when I got there, so I didn't read it. VOLUME 6 has been ordered now, and should be here by Tuesday or Wednesday. No or reduced post over Easter. I won't watch your video until after I've read it. Take it easy!
Y the Last Man omnibus edition costs around 90 quid on Amazon mate. I do know that its highly rated - one of these days I'll get hold of a copy or maybe they will do another print run of the omni...
Nice video .. nice haul ... but why have you not visited Splat Comics for a cheeky 45% OFF EVERYTHING DISCOUNT SALE yet? Hope to see you there soon :-) And maybe even do a video if you make a juicy haul from me :-)
