Comprised of bassist/vocalist Bret Bollinger, guitarist/vocalist Kaleo Wassman and drummer Yesod Williams, Pepper formed in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1997. Having grown up surfing on the island, it’s not a wonder that they would mix their rock “shock and ah” flare, along with their mellow island rhythm roots to create their own truly diverse sound. They have also been known to hypnotize fans of all walks of life with their incredibly sweet harmonies all the while keeping bodies moving on the dance floor.
Moved from beach side NC to Oahu Hawaii. Saw these guys at the pipeline. I left the island years ago but I finally made it back to the beach. After all these years, I’m bumping this and watching the surf roll and getting heavy island vibes. So damn good. Every time.
Bro my stepsons first show was pepper in Myrtle Beach at house of blues and after yalls set the manager cleared out a whole section upstairs for us to keep breakdancing. Yall blessed him with a wristband and a pick!!! PEPPER POSSE FOREVER! LOL
The Corpus Christi show was off the hook! I was the guy in the front row with the pepper bucket hat. Yesod gave my wife a drumstick (we already have a guitar pick from Bret from 2019)🤙🏽 its going up in my music room. We have a bunch of vinyls on the wall, one of which is the recent full color 20 years of Kona Town. That stick is going up next to that record. Me and my wife both have matching Pepper ghost tattoos. We been on it since the 2000's and seen yall 3 times. Allllright!!! Ohana mfkrs!! 🌴
Joining! Random... I need to plan a trip to HI in honor of my son 5 years without him this October, and it would have been his graduation gift if he were still here. I was actually looking at Kona for my choice. I've heard some areas don't like mainland-ers lol I'm not trying to do tourist stuff, tho. I want to take in the beauty and culture of it all. All ears to any advice / tips. I've only ever flown once. Also, is it hard to get around with bad ankles 😅
Just signed up. This is a great idea and I love the new shirt design. I can't wait for the Chicago show Aug 11th. You made some unforgettable memories for my son and I and i can't wait to make some more. Love you guys!
As an OG sublime fan, I’m 58 years old… for some reason after Brad died I resisted anything that was white guys playing reggae for a lot of years… But I heard this while at a Seaside bar and I hurried up and downloaded that song identification app… And it came up with this.well I got over my attitude and checked these guys out. I can’t get enough of this song.
