Yes you can. You can record within vs but it’s very basic and you need to create the audio in one take (I can’t and don’t use this). Instead I record my audio outside of vs and import it. I then use that as my guide to time all the animations.
Ah that’s really disappointing. A lot of people have bad experiences with the licensing it seems. Have you raised it with their support? I’m sure they could solve it.

Excellent tutorial! I'm happy I stumbled upon your video. This is exactly what I've been looking for. I watched a RU-vid video of a couple who went on safari. Their video starts off with them taking a selfie video while riding in a jeep and the word SAFARI is behind them. I strongly advise against purchasing Wondershare products due to their unfair no-refund policy. I recently bought Wondershare MobileTrans and quickly realized it wasn't suitable for transferring WhatsApp data. After using it for just one hour, I canceled my membership and requested a refund. Unfortunately, their AI bot wasted my time, and when I finally reached a team agent, I was told that they do not process refunds for "wrong orders" or "change of mind." Wondershare, you've just lost me and over 200 potential customers in a single click with this childish policy. Keep up the good work-if driving customers away is your goal.

They used to offer a lifetime license. Not any more. Now you pay annually and get any updates for as long as you subscribe. Or you buy a perpetual licence but it’s only that major version. This is off the top of my head so would need checking, but that was the model last time I looked. Thanks again for the feedback.

If I open filmora the initial splash screen has a button called “screen recorder “ Even if I ignore that and create a new project, I can click on media tab, the record dropdown button, choose record pc screen. That then opens a smaller screen where you can activate / choose your webcam or mic or set the screen size (full, custom, target). Do you not get the same options? What version of filmora are you using if not?

Ok. The guy I learnt a lot from was Zach Crawford. Check him out. AM is simple enough concept. I would decide what platform you want to create on, then research how to create content (that serves your audience), how to create an email list and how to find and promote products that people need/want. A mentor is usually when you want direct feedback, encouragement and accountability (these usually come with a high price tag). My main advice is to pick the right platform and focus on the process of creating content.

I tried to cancel my subscription but failed and then they charged me for the new year. when i asked for a refund, they denied me even though it took the money i was going to buy food. I told them this and they threw the policy at me. I will never re up my subscription. I would have when i could afford to, but they are heartless.
Thanks Jon for sharing. Took me about 12 months to get over perfectionism and choosing the "perfect" niche. I really was disheartened after my first few talking head attempts and almost gave up. I was going to try Videoscribe but didn't like the SaaS fees they charge per month. Ended up finding my system and learning a lot so far. Enjoying the process instead of the outcome. Did you find Skillshare hard to break into as they have a lot of strict criteria for making videos?
This was a great video. I am just getting started with taking YT seriously with a brand new channel and it’s pushing me to get out of my comfort zone. I hired an editor to improve quality got some gear but the big push is to get out and do more. If it makes you uncomfortable it’s probably something you should try. Thanks man!

The numbers when it comes to RU-vid are insane when you realize the number of channels that never get to 10K subs... but then the numbers that people that don't have 10K subs but make tons of money from a small targeted audience... good stuff in this one, keep making videos!
Yeah it’s crazy in terms of numbers. Some huge channels that don’t monetise outside of ads and then there are the smaller powerful channels like you say. I still swear it’s the best platform and opportunity for anyone to build a business. I STILL use Filmora version 8 because I have not liked the look / feel / settings on any version since. (not that I LOVE v.8 but...) still looking for a version that is similar to 8 but better. 12 was close but the photo movement feature (where it zooms in and out slightly on each photo) is WAY too pronounced and there's no way to set it to less by default so..... and I HATE the rounded corners (bubbles) each asset is represented as. I prefer the hard squares in v.8 still waiting for a good version.
Thank you for the feedback, that's an interesting perspective but now you mention it, the bubbled effect isn't as clean. Do you think they will ever change it back again though? Is there anything that you would change version for? Was keyframes around for v8? As that's quite useful
@@BargainBarons I find that really useful. Not so much the ai stuff. I like grouping you can do between clips and elements for group edits etc. But i see why you haven’t upgraded. Ultimately it’s what makes editing as easy and smooth for you as possible (or it’s a pain). Thanks again for watching
Jon, brilliant intro tutorial, mate [from an American]-the best I have found yet. 30 minutes, casually-paced and CLEAR. So, a rewatch of segments is a breeze. I assume you cover more advanced features in other tutorials. So, I'll be hunting them down for sure. For those video editing shopping at this moderate level and price point, Filmora is the ticket IMO

Sorry just seen this comment, what part of the video are you referencing? If its the script then its awkwardly placed on the side and you have to click and drag down to copy it (almost like its contained within a box.). Is that what you mean?

I made a incredible blueprint but I didn't know if I could take that blueprint and move it to an app. And it would generate a video out of that. I guess that would be my question. @Startingat50-ht4qm that’s ok, there’s no silly questions, I just wanted to make sure I understood. So you’ve written your video. Now you want something that will create all of the visuals? I don’t think the apps are quite there yet. Filmora will attempt to do this but I don’t think the output would be of any use. Invideo is another app. Again though, they tend to just try and guess the appropriate stock videos they can use. It wouldn’t really appeal to most viewers. Are you completely against going on camera yourself and delivering it? Then you can learn to edit videos and add stock photos and stuff yourself? Depending on your content you could record your screen and present it like a slide show. It could work with some niches. Perhaps give invideo a try. I am not sure it will be good enough. But it’s probably as close to what you are describing as I can think of

I tried the free version and I just wanted to test on version 13. My intention was to put on captions on videos without captions. Every time I did (about 4 times) it put watermarks on the videos. After 4 tries it said I ran out of "credits"? What does that mean? What's the use of putting watermarks when it also has credits? I like the software, considering of buying, but after it limited my trials, I am not sure about purchasing it. I want to do a few dozen videos and I am afraid it might have daily limitations.
I think the free version is why it watermarks. The credits will be for the captions. They use credits for some of their AI features. I don’t like that to be honest. I know why a lot of software companies do it and they may get charged if over used. But captions shouldn’t fall under that. I would just base it on whether you like the feel of the software. I would recommend it but I don’t see the point in some of the ai stuff

I thought I was clear on that? It creates ideas, titles, tags, scripts, thumbnails and a voiceover. Or at least it did when I recorded this. I did point out it was in beta mode so likely to change to. Personally I never use “auto video creators” where they populate stock footage for you. There just isn’t the quality and they look awful. If it was that easy then everyone would do it and RU-vid would be flooded with people automating generic rubbish. That’s my thoughts anyway 🙂 Thanks for watching I appreciate it
I want to ask a very honest question - If your entire side hustle is talking about how one can start their own side hustle? It just feels very shallow and superficial. Have you done a successful side hustle to preach about it?
Ha that’s quite direct and a little presumptuous but I appreciate the honesty nevertheless. I’ve had plenty of side hustles (reselling, arbitrage etc) before I got into digital marketing where I created blogs, courses and use social media and RU-vid to share my journey and show what I learn on the way. I started RU-vid creating content on all kinds of things. Some of that was around making money. Over time, I’ve moved away from that theme. If you look around my videos they are largely tech tutorials and ways to help people with a RU-vid channel. Occasionally I talk about the benefits (financial is only one). I don’t think that’s shallow? One of my strengths (and day job) is learning technology - problem solving and teaching people. So it aligns with my career. I also think, in any niche, we are always one step ahead of someone. That person could learn from us. I’ve grown this channel to 12000 subs. Nothing in comparison to many, but significantly more than others. So I have things I could help others with. I hope that helps. I will rewatch this video to see if I can see where you are coming from and what triggered the question But thank you for the honesty and I hope you find what you are looking for, on my channel or someone else’s 🙂
