Excellent work. Does it look orange in the sun? I dislike orange. The deep wine / burgundy / black-red / black purple is what i want. You're very skilled. If it looks orange in sunlight then I will have to pass. The volcanics go orange. This looks like it might stay dark....?
It does have a bit of gold/red undertones in the sun. You may see a slight orange at a specific angle. These color shifting films are always changing color depending on the angle. At night, it will always look black.
I am a 65 year old man. My music probably most of your viewers wouldn't like. LOL I ordered this color PPF today. Thank you for the video that helped me decide on it!
It's definitely not cheap versus vinyl wrap. It lasts 3x longer and is 3x thicker with self-healing properties. Inozetek is a decent vinyl wrap, I just know how difficult it is to remove if there's an issue and after working with color infused PPF, I'll never go back!
The idea is to get it as close to the edge as possible. The film is so thick that sometime if you attempt to wrap it over an edge with very little surface area, the film will life and that won't look good either. There is compromise at times.
Very cool! I have a plotter that pairs with a software I use to modify patterns before I instill them. Most patterns I blow out about an inch or two so I have more film than less to play with and stretch.
Wiping it down repeatedly keeps it from getting soaked. The solution is only baby shampoo and water. It won't hurt the leather. In some cases, I have a cover that goes over the door panel.
It does not! Even if we wrapped the front, you wouldn’t be able to tell where it started and where it ended. It’s pretty seamless. Matte PPF was made originally for Frozen BMW paint and the Designo Mercedes paint. It’s a perfect match.
Putting a condom on a car lol… take a look at any 997 gt3. They all have a small strip of ppf and they all look like garbage, yet the paint looks great. PPF is so stupid, bubble wrap your steering wheel while you’re at it and start wearing a helmet around everywhere you go
I’m not sure what you’re trying to say here. Paint is always perfect under the PPF because it hasn’t been chipped or scratched. We don’t wrap these "strips", we wrap full panels. I have hundreds of clients thanking me for the many ways PPF has saved their car from an expensive and inconvenient trip to the body shop. If PPF isn’t for you, just move along. That’s all you have to do.
@@SJPP I can respray my front bumper for less than you can PPF my bumper. It is a complete waste of money and a bad upsell al these shops try to do these days, it's basically a fad. PPF also yellows and eventually cracks. These videos promote a product that is imo a poor value proposition. How much did you charge this guy to ppl his entire car unnecessarily? let's hear how much it cost to put a transparent sticker on a car.
Okay cool, so respray it. You hop back on the highway and get a few more rock chips, now what? Are you going to keep respraying it over and over again? Call 5 paint shops tomorrow. Ask them for a price to repaint a bumper. Modern films are backed by a warranty of 10 years not to fade or yellow. Lastly, I’ve noticed a pattern in my industry. For those that can afford it, they love it. I have hundreds of clients that message me constantly telling me how it’s saved their car. For those that can’t afford it, always talk about how horrible and unnecessary the product is. At the end of the day, PPF is just not for YOU, Mike Vick. 🤷🏽♂️
PPF is a sacrificial layer that protects the paint. If it gets scratched, you can do one of two things. Replace it, or let it ride a bit longer until you wish to replace it. Chances are that the paint is still fine underneath and won’t need to see a body shop.
