Have an extremely rare disease called FOP where my muscles turn into bones. I lost 95% of my movement. The most polarizing disability advocate on the planet! Also mascot for World's First Disability Customizable Tool Set-Sooch Tools
Hi Joe, My favourite subject in school was religious philosophy. I went through the typical student phases: Marxist, leftist, atheist ect. I used to be the annoying atheist who criticized religion all the time. As I got older I have softened my views. Actually I was briefly famous for wearing a spaghetti strainer on my head and demanding the drivers licensing office respect my spaghetti religion. I think religion is great and atheists are needlessly abrasive. Some people are suffering very badly and they need something to lean on. This is more true of people with disabilities. I would never try to take away the things that help them get through life. I feel like all of us, religious or not, lean on things that can't be proven. Starting a new channel would be an interesting experiment. Will you be able to keep a straight face? Maybe you will see the appeal of it and fall into your own creation? It's something to try for sure
Jeez... Your strengths and prosperity are so empowering and inspiring. I'm happy to see you still active on this channel. I've been browsing your videos for a few days now and you really are a trooper. You have much to teach us, man. Your wisdom and understanding are more rare than your condition ❤
That is insane, I remember during my psychosis I believed everything that I saw and heard and it was only after the fact where I looked back and I realized that that was the only time in my life I didn't have a grasp on reality.
Interesting how you mentioned VR and how that can actually help separate reality from hallucinations. I'm diagnosed with psychosis and although I don't have reoccurring hallucinations or anything like that I can relate to using technology as a grounding device because there is no gray area in what's real or not real. Interesting, no?
I did some research & I think there might be an easy way to use a "split" controller like the Switch controller on your Xbox. The Xbox has a feature called "copilot" which allows 2 different controllers to act as a single controller. So you could get 2 controllers & hold one in each hand. The downside is you need a second controller which is kind of expensive.
@@john_hunter_ I have two. It’s just two heavy. There are also split controllers too and accessible ones but I find them expensive and kind of cumbersome. This is simple that I can play any Xbox and any person have to put minimum effort to try.
@@DrPlatypusMan cod 4 was the jam! Then zombies was the shit for a good while along with FIFA. Then got depression and didn’t play for years. I play now to achievement hunt. So I play a game to completion. Then I play a new one.
hey Joe, i don't know if there are dms on RU-vid so I'm writing here. your perspective is way relatable, and I respect it a lot. got my own disssability -- not fop though; they call it ms. I'd hang out with you for rizz in a minute if you were round southern California. you're a real one, and that's sweet in my book. hope you're finding something real good out there to keep the hell feeling in check🤞🏽i would know. 🐍
Schade, Joe. Ich dachte ich erwische dich beim Duschen. 😉 Aber leider war es nur eine Trockenübung 🤷♀️ Haha You are the best 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Ich wünsche dir einen schönen Tag ❣☺ Grüße aus Deutschland 🙋♀️
