God I love the little touches of extra effort in the MM2 title screen edit. The Drill Man/Mega Man/Simon sprite got his hair billowing in the wind and everything. The medley aligns really well with the MM2 music counterpart in how it picks up in speed and feel too. Awesome job!
Legends say each time you surpass the high score when doing Giga Drill Breaker the game pierce through one console generation while still being playable on NES, and that by the end game the quality is above anything the human mind thought was impossible.
Meteor he has this disease call attention-seeking-itis.The symptom include being critically & horribly unoriginal, copying *everything* *word to word*.so far,it is unknown if this disease is contagious or not but it is quite common these days.i recommend you to be careful.you'll never know.
Meteor Gurren Lagann's really popular. I wouldn't be surprised if they both copied form the same place (note the memearrow) but Neo Toxic here didn't check first.
ProfessorPancake >memearrows No, you idiot. What I did just now would be considered an application of memearrows. What the comment has is a 'selection arrow/cursor', for lack of a better term. It's something that games back in the day used to indicate which choice was being selected. Everyone over the age of like, 13 would recognise one.
It's called: With your drill pierce the heavens, but if you want the piano version which seems to be the one in this you want to look for: With your drill...
Just doesn't compare to the original Mega Man tracks, I'm afraid, but solid effort. Using a band-like structure of bass, rhythm, lead, and percussion would take to this to the NES Mega Man level of awesome.
Very much why I liked I Wanna Be The Guy as a teenager (Check it out if you haven't) It doesn't have an Easy mode If you pick Medium your character wears a bow and extra saves say "WUSS" instead of "SAVE". There's an Impossible mode, which removes all saves and demands you do the ENTIRE GAME without dying a single time...in a game that's notorious for being unfair at times and where you die A LOT! To say this game didn't instill a "Get Gud" attitude and change the way I look at games as a whole would be an understatement. My favorite memories with IWBTG were pushing through when it literately felt I couldn't go any further...yet against all odds doing so anyways... It felt painful yet satisfying in a way I didn't feel from a game until that point... Idk why your comment just inspired me to share all that. (It probably helps that I Wanna Be The Guy's Title screen is directly inspired by Mega Man 2's. And is what my mind defaults to whenever I hear the MM2 theme song!) Gurren Lagann rocks btw! :D
Sorairo Days sounds glorious in 8-bit. Edit: And now I finally realize what the first 3rd or so of the video is! It's Pierce the Heavens with your Drill!
Jordan Wiebenga So you could play a Japanese DS Games that wouldn't be regen locked on a Normal Gameboy DS on a 3DS that wouldn't allow 3DS Games from Japan to be played upon.... I just had to write that sentence xD Yea good point, it would prbly work.
It would be great if you added that when an option was selected, have lagann appear and take simon away in a flash of spiral energy (a way of re-skinning megaman's teleport that they do when you select an option).
