Great tutorial. One small addition to travelers judgement: The tunnel predates the common use of long trailers and trucks, so it is advisable to give way to such a large and long vehicle regardless of the direction driven.
I enjoyed your video very much. I've done 6 Camino's and I make a video after each one. Your video has inspired me to do the English Way next September. Thank You.
Hello Martin, and thank you for your kind words, I'm delighted to hear my little video has inspired you in some small way. You may have seen I have made a few others. If it helps your planning, I also blogged that journey - daily entries start here. johnelsewhere.blog/2022/04/01/who-do-we-think-we-are/
Hello…..just found you video. Wonderful, brought back MANY memories…. Walked the Ingles in September 2022. Weather was perfect and NO rain…. Question…did you know the fellow towards the end of the Camino who was wearing the Texas Longhorns cap? I live in that University town. Thanks …Paul
Hi I got a glance of your comment and when i went to reply it seems to be gone. yes i would love a video of the frances. I am starting next April. The Camino Ingles was a test run ..well sort of :) a very passionate test run and i loved every minute of it
Hi John...What a great video. My son-in-law has invited me to join him on the Camino Ingles Spring 2024 and your video has inspired me to say yes (Even though I will be 65 and he is 20 years younger and a lot fitter than me). I think we may follow the same route as you (it looks glorious - just hope we have as good weather as you seem to have had) Any tips from your own experience as this will be my first Camino (Ferrol-Santiago)
Hello and thanks very much! I'm glad to hear that the video has helped you decide to walk. The English Way was my third Camino and I loved it. I blogged each day of the journey, which might help you with your planning. Thanks for doing the video. Just come back from another Camino and they are special. I also loved Muxia …it is really very special. Each Camino is different and you always learn …so they get better!
Hello! I flew into A Coruña (which meant I saw a large section of the route from the air). Then I took a bus from there to Ferrol the following morning. The bus station at Ferrol is a couple of kilometres from the harbour and the official start point of the Camino route, and you'll be walking back some of the same streets once you begin, but that's fine. I wrote a daily blog that may help you too. Start here! johnelsewhere.blog/2022/04/01/who-do-we-think-we-are/
Wonderful video! Lovely music! Great photography! Thanks for sharing! This is exactly the journey I’m considering from start to finish in 2024. How long did it take to walk? Also, did you walk it from Muxia to Finisterre?
Thanks Susan! It took six days to walk from Ferrol to Santiago. And then I caught a bus to Muxía. Perhaps I might walk from Santiago to Muxía and Finisterre next!
I’m so glad to have helped a little with your planning! I wrote a daily blog with lots of information about hotels, albergues, restaurants and cafes, happy to share with you if you need more!
Ciao Riccardo
Fabulous! I'm so happy to have found this. I am doing the Camino Ingles in June and this is the most current video I've seen. It's great. Loved your camino. Thank you for posting.
Thankyou for saying you were in A Coruña before your walk. (Maternal side of my family is from there and I spent many happy Summers as a child on Playa Riazor with my cousins) I plan to walk the Camino Ingles in 2023 with my daughter after a stop in A Coruña first (2-3 days) to introduce her to our heritage and visit my grandparents grave. It will feel like going home for me even though not been there since 1985! Thankyou for your video of beautiful Galicia.
Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed watching your video because tge Camino Inglese is on my bucket list and I wanted to know actually how hilly it is and it seems there are quite a few. The reason is to train and be prepared for them before I go!
This seems to be a very charming city, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Lovely images, John. This certainly was a bright point during the pandemic for me. Looking forward to the day we all will find our way back to Santiago.
Ah, that's very kind of you! I hope you are able to enjoy it yourself one day! Check out my day-to-day Camino Francés playlist for a little more detail.
Thank you for your beautiful and peaceful presentation. I did my first Camino in May of 2018, and your video brought back so many emotions. You took me right back. Thanks and Buen Camino!
