Noone is disputing the fact salvation is by God's grace and God's grace alone (John 3:16, Romans 5:8, 1John 4:19). But to maintain from all this that a sinner cannot believe unless God overcomes him by Irresistible Grace is a TULIP of another color. This preacher mentioned Lydia. But God opening Lydia's heart didn't guarentee her salvation any more than all the Gentiles being saved because God "opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles" (Acts 14:27). Suppose that God did overcome Lydia with Irresistible Grace, how does that prove God does the same for every sinner? The opening of Lydia's heart was God's work; the attending to the things Paul spoke was hers. And what were the things Paul spoke? Paul's sole purpose in going to መቄዶንያ was " to preach the gospel" (Acts 16:10). The fact that Lydia responded to the Gospel preached by Paul does not in any way prove that God's grace was irresistible. It proves that Lydia responded to the Gospel. I can go through all the verses the preacher eisegesis but this much is enough.
