Growing up in Ann Arbor comedy Detroit never really had a pulse for me, but the history of the surrounding area such as grosse pointe, Farmington hills, Dearborn... These areas, for their day blew Beverly Hills out of the water - until 1962 when the first idiot got elected mayor... The cheese slid off Detroit's cracker ever since, and Coleman Young did nothing for Detroit he made it even worse. I come in the homeowners for trying to restore the house, but it's going to take more than that to bring Detroit back... And you can't do it one house at a time, this is a spiritual thing, the spirit over the state of michigan, pervading around the governor's office, that's got to get eradicated before there's ever any restoration going on in Michigan.
Lovely little pad that back porch would have to immediately be turned into a FOUR SEASON as part of the interior space if I was to downsize and move only a couple blocks over from here
For Me the color Grey is Depressing and lacks creativity! The Sky gets grey and people in Michigan in the early 1990; using a light for lack of sunshine!!! Now I can't control Mother Nature but I don't ever want the color grey in My Home revealing a lack of Creative Energy,
I needed something to entertain me. I'm having a sleepless night. My husband passed away. I thought of all the rides we took along the lake. Such pleasant memories.
I was pleasantly surprised to see, (in the pool area), that the "Glaciers" in the pool itself had melted. Man!! I guess I don't get it...Why would ANYBODY in their right mind even consider living in / or building this house in Mishitigan. Yeah, nice to live in, but sooner or later you have to go and get groceries...even on January 25th, (or whenever in the middle of your Arctic winter), but there are still "those" who love 340 days of slate-grey sky's, unbelievable snow depth's, and tax rates which emulate Gavin Newsome's Southern California. Me??? I wised-up at age 23, (I'm now 68) and live on sunny / warm Hilton Head Isl. / Bluffton, SC where houses like this are "littered" across the area. Oh, and please don't take your "Tropical Vacation" with us, rather go to the U.P. since you love the afore mentioned weather so much. JEEEZ!
Michigan is better than South Carolina. There's more wealth and wealthy people in Michigan than SC. And it still gets freezing cold in SC in the winter. Not as cold or snowy but I'll take that over the hurricanes and tsunamis that SC deals with sometimes. Btw it's been nice and sunny nearly every weekend this summer.
