Hey Guys, Thanks for stopping by! I am a poker player and poker coach playing Pot Limit Omaha. I started playing this game about 7 years ago when i was working full time in the restaraunt business. After getting one-on one coaching by JNandez87 I slowly got more into the game and fell in love with the depth and complexity of it. I am always curious on learning more about the game and really enjoy diving deep into the strategical parts of this game. Working intensively with PLO Software has become a daily routine for myself. Not only to become better as a player myself but also to create PLO Content. I work together with the PLO Mastermind as one of the head coaches for this Pot Limit Omaha Subscription Course. My main game is PLO 200 online. I also offer one-on one coaching, you can sent me a DM in our discord channel if you are interested in that.
Another great upload. Ty Luuk please keep them coming. Question, I run a HUD keeping track of VPIP, PFR, 3bet and Fold to 3bet. Can you recommend some other statistics to monitor on our opponents/what HUD stats you mostly pay attention to? Thank you in advance!
that a886 blocking river and getting a fold in a spot where you should be almost checking range is getting away with murder. You say he will have a straight sometimes. In theory he should have a straight almost half of the time. He should also have like 3x the nuts as you do.
Hi Luuk! I saw you at the tables this session, but thought it is another man with same nickname. Sad but I ended up my session right after you started yours. I have a question about making money at small stakes. I have ~ 10k hands and pokertracker shows $0 EV profit (excluding rakeback) Is it possible to have positive EV on GG or players make money from rake back only?
40:17, is it really a call to pot size bet with a bit more than 1 spr without any spades? seems pretty sick... not judging, just questioning, but I will for sure fold on the flop...
Thank you for the video. What I enjoyed most in this one is how you keep your composure when cards aren’t falling your way. Definitely one of the hardest things to do in PLO is to keep your head cool and keep thinking about hands and ranges when you get crushed by the deck. Keep those videos coming Luuk! ❤
Hi Johnny, PLO Trainer works differently. We are constantly adding more solutions to the software so you can easily compare your hand with our library of sims. However you cannot import the HH. You have to look up the spot in PLO Trainer and compare this yourself, this is not automated.
Ggpoker is a trap, ive gone from $50 to $1600 twice now, then have massive 20 or 30 buyin down swing all pure "variance" would be tough enough but when your crushing the games GG take more of the rake and gives less rack back to the tune of 13bb in rake. Its unbeatable, they have pros slaving away creating the game for them while GG makes all the money is rake. Online poker dream is officially dead.
Hi Alex, that is a very negative viewpoint you have here. Have you looked into other options if you feel this way about GGpoker? Regarding your downswing, I would be very critical if it is actually variance. Its very convenient to blame variance when losing, this often happens and is normal behaviour , nothing personal. I would analyse my session, look bad at the most important hands and do a database review to get a better picture of your current game. Focus on what you can control and improve on rather than what you cannot. Good luck in your next session!
@@LuukBotter86 i appreciate the message back, thanks for the kind words. Ran below average in allin ev while beating PLO for 15bb/100 and have nothing to show for all the work. Its all gone to GG in rake. I didnt realize how bad GG rake structure truly is, i dont wanna share any more bab beat stories, no one wants to hear and i dont wanna live em anymore. It is literally impossible to break free from small stakes and the rake at GG seems insane at every level. Mtts are the only place GG hasnt destroyed with rake and the variance there is even worse. I still managed to turn $50 into $1300 cash out twice now. But the idea of trying to make any substantial $ there just isn't realistic. Best of luck 2 u as well. Enjoyed your content
I dont know about PLO 50 but at PLO25 fold equity in any 3b pot especially vs 4b is non existent. At times game feels like 20% of the field is literally treating the game like slots, just clicking pot and call buttons without any thought at all. There are at least 3 players during every part of the day playing like this. They just brain dead pot pot pot or donk pot pot pot literally every hand. No joke
My opponent bets large repping a straight, which I am behind against. By calling I keep in his bluffs dont risk getting it in on the turn against the nuts. What do you think about this and would you raise?
If you dont want these sort of comments on these videos feel free to give feedback. I try to improve my play and hopefully help you or anyone else watching these. 9:30 AA73ss: Issue in leveraging nut flush blocker in 3bet pots tends to be that flushes simply dont fold easily at all so even if we went bet half, bet half, shove river its imo still tough to get folds in general. But it does help for creating more fe for cbet and does decrease chance of facing x-r. If we do face x-r its though negative component often with mediocre strong hand as then opponent is somewhat less likely semibluffing. Obviously on QT6ss there is still bunch of draws that could x-r even without nfd. 14:30 5533ss: Did you notice SB stack depth before opening? Have to say I tend to be pretty bad at observing these things sometimes. Villain VPIP was really low so maybe open is fine but I dont think we can call 3bet. We need implieds odds which we dont have. Is open raising good idea with that shallow stack behind is good question though. I doubt we open this like 30bb deep in gto land. 39:07: Reason for 3betting 9875ss? Seems too loose to me. Bit higher or perfectly connected I might call with. In general there should be very few if any single suited rundown 3betting outside of some A high rundowns. Well out of curiosity checked in trainer BUvsMP there is literally only QT98ss 3betting with $ss!RR!A filter in stars plo200 sims. 39:22 T988ss: I notice you constantly use sizings not really chosen for trainer. I just wonder why is that? Were those sizing not chosen for best ev in simplified approach? Like in this spot using around 1/5 pot where as I believe in trainer it would be 1/3 or pot. Personally I think we get very similar frequency of calls versus 1/3 pot than this smaller one. 40:31 AQT8ss: Curious of that turn lead shove decision. I assume you do it to try and get fe as hand is too strong to fold anyway versus bet? Not too sure how often we get him to fold hand that is better than our though. Seems better to me to allow him to second stab as wide as possible and potentially get free river as well. Also if he happens to bet smaller than pot we get cheaper price to draw than 1.3xpot as now happened. We do also "crush" part of his range that might second barrel having some showdown value with 8. Though I suppose having some showdown value could be reason to not go for x-c turn, x-f river line. 47:31 QJ65ss: Is plan to go for one and done or are you planning to bluff river on blanks or other rivers? 53:30 6543ds: One of those spots where opponent can probably fold range if not having nuts to 3bet in river. Maybe few percent of players even thinks of bluffing and even they understand its just crazy to try in practise. Then there is that one percent of players who overvalue K high flush potentially. 54:30 AJT5ds: These spots I find always tough especially when not blocking boats. E.g. there is no river where we happy to face sizable river bet. Yet we are drawing. Would you fold turn versus bigger bet like 3/4 pot? 57:19 KJJ4ss: Seemed bit widish open so checked trainer. Bottom seems to be around KJJ7/8ss. 57:49 AQT7sss: While very very borderline in gto this is still open in stars plo200 with whopping 0.01. But I like this open way more over weak JJ open moment earlier.
Hi, Luuk. Looking at the hand starting at 6:10 IMO, there aren't that many nut FD-s in our range that we aren't cbeting. Most hands that we 3bet will connect with QT, and usually the ones we are not cbeting are the ones that absolutely crush the board, but AA73 doesn't really mimic those hands. There are a few hands like A876ds/A765ds or a hand like AT55ds, but it's a very small portion of our range. We also kinda block the hands that would call turn-fold river with AJ or a hand like AQT...etc, so I think we should just give up especially with how quick the opponent calls on the turn.
been running terribly lately, take a few bad beats and then im off to the races competing in the tilt olympics... how can we deal with variance without going on tilt? IM JUST SO TIRED OF LOSING
Go learn about this topic from experts, like Jared Tendler. Here is the link to his website, he has a few great books and resources on dealing with this emotion. jaredtendler.com/
34:10 Same thing happened to me last week, got it with the nut srtaight against top set and flushdraw and only 32% EV. I figured he would make the same play with AA and nut flush draw and it would be a flip, but yeah horrible situation
Great contents as usual, liké to see your face when trying to understand what vilain try to do😂. Still in plo25 for now! Happy to have free content to progress thx!!!
Hi! Great video! At 3:45 i think u misread actions? It's wasn't cold4bet just normal 4bet BvB. And i would deffinetily call ( i checked from plotrainer and trainer likes to put 5bet which was interesting :) ) But i don't think population have gto 4bet ranges here enough so i would just call. Even against AA** u have 40.5% equity and position to play less than 2SPR.
Thanks for the feedback, calling might be good here yes. I still this its close if villain would be mainly holding AA/AKK. But given the higher SPR its probably fine. I usually don't like a 5-bet here unless I would have a strong read or I know villain is a good reg who has enough bluffs/hands that he will fold with.
Not able to access a solver atm, but yeah that hand does strike me as well as one that is connected enough to call a 4-bet regardless of having an Ace, especially at 125bb effective.
100 games seem to be playing very str8 forward, 25PLO is absolutely insane lately, large group of players playing 50-100% vpip just calling pre then blasting .5 pot pot pot every single hand. Games are very good overall but graphs are like a trip to six flags. What strategy would you play against said players? I have a set strategy now, curious your thoughts
I have plenty of content on how I play vs weaker players at lower stakes. I recommend you to watch my PLO 50 series I did recently and you will find a lot of insights in there.
@@LuukBotter86 ive watched alot of your videos tbh, ive not seen these types of players in your videos. But thanks for the response. Enjoy your content
As a (mostly, there are a few sites I play on) former American poker player, I just have to say, I'm extremely jealous of you guys, and hate my country for doing this to me
