Wow. Usually people swap OUT the red interior, not swap in. Still needs the door cards, dash, vents, airbag, steering wheel and column, and center consider. I imagine finding a red airbag would be difficult. And of course, swapping the dash would be a major PITA. You can get matching paint though. Paint the pieces until you can get around to finding the real deal.
It's in lovey condition. What''s kinda crazy and ironic is how today the US Acura Integra R is by far the most valuable of all markets out there(quadruple the price pretty much), yet it's the version that's the least fully featured; slightly down on power compared to the Euro/Japanese versions, didn't get the Recaro seats, Momo steering wheel, titanium shift knob and for some odd reason you got EK9 Civic Type R wheels. Rarity plays into it of course, but the 100 Swiss only yellow Type R 2000 with yellow Recaro interior and stitching are way rarer and wouldn't get close to 100k. Just goes to show how local markets influence things. It also shows how the car world has changed so much. No way would a brand have so many big and little differences in different markets around the world. The accountants would have heart attacks.😃
@MrGrentch That was funny to read lol. The accountants would have heart attacks. These are very rare and I also suspect that is why they are valuable. They made like 80% less of these than NSX's.

MY23 EN feels like a modern ITR I had moons ago. ITR was truly great, only issue is once you had a passenger the vehicle really struggled to get going. Also never cared for the slow steering rack, other than that what a treasure.

@@M-t3ch And Europe too. Have a set of original homologation papers for one somewhere about the place. From what I recall there were two "versions" listed; basically the road car and then one with better braking(AP Racing setup) and cooling.
@@M-t3ch Yep, the twistier the better. Where it's less about power in the straights and far more about going around corners. The kind of tracks where you can't go faster just by adding power and money. It's a cornering monster. On tracks/roads with lots of tight corners which you find more in Japan and Europe(for an Irish guy like me the road you were on was practically straight😃)it can surprise, even embarrass more powerful cars. If it starts to rain it's even more fun... I agree with you on the vagueness in the straight ahead. It's really only when it's loaded up in cornering where you start to get the really tactile feedback and control. Funny though, I've never noticed torque steer. Well it has feck all torque which helps. Funny enough at the limit it tends to get light in the back which can catch you out if you're used to quick FWD cars. Even then(unless you're being a complete eejit, or have bad tyres)it's easy to get it under control. And yeah it's about as refined as a housebrick. That's part of the R thing I suppose(or was). The Honda NSX-R is way less refined than the standard too. Noisier, stiffer, no power steering so a workout at slow speeds and suspension that you wouldn't want to drive if you had back trouble or a loose filling.😃
@@M-t3ch I did and I miss it haha. I wish BMW put any other 6 speed in the M3, with an OEM style shifter it’s pretty vague feeling and notchy. I’m thinking about putting a ZF 6 speed in mine when it needs a clutch and selling the 420g. That’s the Z4M setup and it’s such a nice shifting transmission.
The manuals were bullet prof!! The early 2000’s autos were horrible Honda had to replace many if they blew up before 125k which they went out without slips or warning around 120-130k even with 30k mile fluid changes
I have owned my 92 NSX for 16 years. Recently had a new clutch installed and opted for the JDM short gears and Type R final drive. The short gears transform the car. The 1-2 shift is much closer as well as 3rd and 4th (1st and 5th remain the same ratios). The Type R final drive shortens all the gears by another 4%-5%. This combo makes the car much more fun to drive around town and through the switchbacks. I’m driving the car more often than I have before. The final drive adds about 150 rpms in top gear while cruising. I’d never go back to the stock gearing. Why Honda chose to go through all the trouble just to make a taller gearset for our market while the rest of the world got the JDM gearing is beyond me. I love my NSX even more and will not part with it (and it has tripled in value).

I had a 2000 CE. No traction control, no ABS. Automatic. I'd enter some corners at 90mph + (after a brake upgrade, cause I got fade at one point) and I was genuinely having ZERO issues keeping up cars like E46 M3's and WRX's on the really really windy roads. I'm so sad it's gone. Long story short a lady rear ended me going 50 whilst I was stopped at an intersection. But this car, this car was my favorite, I had it sideways all the time in the winter, or on dirt, I'd drive it like I was competing in a rally constantly. I have a 1988 5 speed base model Camry today, and I still miss my 4th gen more than anything.

Taking my 94 NSX out is a unique experience. It's super familiar if you are used to driving older Hondas. But there is no experience like it compared to any Hondas because of the motor and the handling. The looks and attention that it gets is the reason why I don't drive mine very often.
