We had the same. Purchased in 74. Never knew about the micro switch. The bag on ours had a flower print, but otherwise identical. Amazing how nostalgia warms the heart, even a vacuum cleaner. 😂👍♥️
Interesting watch-I’ve never heard of that brand-I’ll have to check it out. I like colors of the watch-something different. I too just bought that dw6900-1v G-shock recently & I know what you mean about the band being silky smooth! The resin is definitely of a higher quality. Another watch guy I watch, Greg Anderson “the good timekeeper” is also from Utah. 🤔
@@sci-fyguy7767 Good call on the 6900’s band - it just feels of fantastic quality. As for the Freestyles…they have something about them I can’t put my finger on. I definitely recommend perusing their inventory. Greg Anderson seems a good egg. I think he’s with KSL TV or radio here in the Wasatch Front. He lives a good hour South from me. I immediately knew he was from Utah because of the lazy way we pronounce our ‘T,s’.

I got this watch about a month ago, and I've been loving it since. I saw this watch model on a lot of wrists when I was growing up, but I was never really a watch enthusiast back then. When I saw this for a discounted price on Amazon, I just had to get it. While I love the watch, I would've preferred the one with Tough Solar + MB6, since I don't have to worry about battery changes, but it was quite the significant price difference for that model, so I'm pretty happy with my normal DW-6900. The one I bought has the new white-blue LED backlight found on the GW-M5610U, thus the 6900 model I got says DW-6900U on backplate. Would love to get a GW-6900 some day. Hope you enjoy the watch 💯
@@asvp_m3l Yeah, I learned of the U version the other day. I lucked out with getting mine that has the original EL green-like glow. I’m sure yours though is very easy to read at night.
Nice watch, it's unbelievable that you can keep it 30+ years, I also had several Casio watches in my school time, but I don't have any of them now. Amazing, just keep it well.
I have 6 G-shocks & recently became enamored with this “Mission Impossible 2” watch. I chose the original version over the multi-band 6/solar version simply because of the BEAUTIFUL color way. That red G-shock logo is just 🔥. The band does feel softer as you stated. Your review was very helpful & gave me a few pointers I didn’t know about the watch. Your watch must have been at the store for a while cause it has the electro-luminescent back light. I mail ordered mine & just received it on 8/18. Mine says LED backlight & lights up bright white. I saw another review on this watch & they said the LED version has a battery life of 5 years. This is my current favorite G also & I’m definitely in the honeymoon phase. 😂 GREAT review 👍

Spring Green was actually first used by the Hoover Co. in 1966, and Garland Green even earlier in the decade. These colors are featured throughout The Brady Bunch television sitcom (1969 to 1974) in clothing and home decor. You've e done a spectacular job in polishing your 707!
I need to get a new battery 🔋 for my 10.00 Casio analog watch I got from Amazon. Has day/date. Does it have a loud hourly chime? I can barely hear mine. My early 2000 one had a loud one.
I has also a snooze alarm (press the adjust button 2 times in alarm one) and it have also a repeat timer (press the light button when in timer set mode to turn on the auto repeat)
I bought this watch too. It does have the biggest digital time display that I know about. But alas, I can read an analog watch without my glasses but I can't even read this. I also didn't like that it doesn't display the time while in stopwatch or count down timer mode. I gave it away.
Sharks “golden age” was only with 1 machine, and that was the Shark Navigator NV22L/ NV22LE, that came out in 2009, it was the first official Shark vacuum ever made (as it didn’t have the euro pro name wasn’t on it) and it looks just like yours, except it’s lilac and it has a different handle. But its main difference and why it’s so good, is the fact that it has a proper cyclone assembly, like a Dyson. It’s the only shark with that cyclone assembly. That thing was AMAZING!! I have one, it never clogged, filters needed to be washed like once a year, loved it. The problem with yours is that the cyclone inside the bin are.. well.. awful. That metal screen-cone thing offers nowhere near the amount of filtration the cyclone pack model had. You may notice the filters get dirty after the first 2-5 uses. The cyclone clone pack model prevents that. and it’s just better for the air in general. But I prefer bagged vacuums overall, like a Riccar or something like that. Also, this body style came out in 2009, but this specific model came out in around 2015-2016. But I love your videos!! They’re amazing and very detailed, Keep them up!!!
This watch hardly leaves my wrist & has been my go to for more than 6 months & I have over 60 Casio watches. It’s the only watch I can easily read without my glasses even in dark conditions. I use the five alarms for medication taking & the countdown timer is a useful feature normally found on more expensive Casios. I have a tan & a black, but seem to only wear the black most of the time. I ended up buying a second black version I found on clearance for $$4.50 at wal-mart that I just couldn’t pass up.
You did a good job restoring this one. I’m shocked your vacuum store had a motor mount for these. The motor mounts always break on these elites. If they used longer screws, chances are the motor mounts would probably last. You did get the date code right. Believe it or not, Hoover never really changed their extension wands after the elite. They used the same wand on the windtunnels as well. I own a Futura, which is simply a red version of the dimension. It’s probably one of the best vacuums I’ve ever used. To be honest no matter what bag you use in these, there will always be some dust built up since the motor blows the dirt into the bag. The tool suction is not that bad. Definitely better than the suction on a concept or should I say the Powermax self propelled. The build quality on these are actually good, and there are still so many of these that are still working. I’m still pissed off Hoover decided to stop making a lot of the parts for these. Like good luck finding a new old stock fan for these on eBay. The carbon brushes are also hard to find as well. I hope the same size of the carbon brush is still being made.
