Thank you! I had to quit ballet for a few years due to COVID then the start of college. I got back to ballet in December 2023 & have slowly been transitioning back to pointe since June. I've been using my old pointe shoes from 2019 but they do not fit me right anymore. I got toe pads from Shein which have really helped me not injure my toes in dance. But today my teacher told me that my shoes are so dead that she can't even tell if my pointe shoes fit me because of how far I'm going over my box. Yet a few weeks ago another dance teacher told me that they weren't dead & fine to go on. Yet I've barely been on them in the past few weeks. So I don't know if they're dead or not. But I plan to get professionally refitted next month in August. The best shoes that fit me were Bloch European Balance but for some dumb reason I switched to Mirella Whispers when I was 15. Now I just turned 21 & think that Bloch's Euro Balance are the best ones for me but I also want a shoe that lasts longer since I'm a poor college student who is not yet part of a company or pre-pro program. I want to try Gaynor Mindens or another brand but I may end up getting Bloch Euro Balance again. Time will tell. Thanks for the advice. I'll definetly be careful the next few weeks & only wear my dead shoes for strength building warmups at the barre.
Ballet is so nice and elegant I’ve always wanted to be a ballerina but I haven’t been doing since I was young like others so I might just teach myself ballet
