They are saying to say it’s 4 second following distance by law. Like when the motorcycles rear tire passes a sign or a cross walk sign start to count 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi, till you get to 4 that’s how far back you should be. That makes universal from surface streets to highways. Motorcycles slow down a lot faster than cars and don’t always need to hit the brakes to slow down.

This law was ONLY repealed when the state was SUED over it! The STATE knew full well what effect it had on people's lives because seven other states implemented it at the same time! Two of those states quickly dropped the law for the same reason Michigan had to be sued for.
Thank you 🙏 I was in a lot of stress first 4 months but I fight it out even wrote to governor. No one cares no one replied. It just made me stronger and realized I can only count on my self. So next time I work I save up for another other company or crazy person screw up. I actually had a coworker trying to kill me in my sleep with bracelets knuckles in North Dakota. His room was next to mine . After I woke up from concussion broken skull 💀 under my eye , I couldn’t see 2 weeks on my right eye. Doctors said half inch to the right lost life to the left lost my eye. The cop let him go because he said i pushed him so he said self defense even there was only me and him in my hotel room i said how about trespassing and witnesses from the bar we worked 1 hours prior the assault when he threatened me to beat me up. I told him I will not fight him we have 2 weeks work contact we wouldn’t get paid. That responsibility almost cost me my life and 1 year unable to work and 100 k on lost wages and medical expenses and trauma and developed PTSD. I quit my job 3 months before that voluntary to see my mom in Europe she had heart attack so i lost my insurance when i came back to USA my previous employer told me to do quick 2 weeks tour. It was worse decision of my life! Now he is still working for the company never was punished for attempt murder with deadly weapon!!!! The victim witness from ND Velva told me the police 👮 officer made a mistake in the police report, but he rewrote it but now the attacker is back in California where he lives in Stanton and it would be a tremendous COST To their COUNTY to extradite him from California to North Dakota and if they would it would take a year before they would prosecute him and it would cost me a lot of time and money before that to fly in the court in ND . Basically you see criminals win and the innocent people who got hurt and attacked can’t fight the case . Maybe if he killed me then they would do something but that would be worthless to me id be dead 💀.. so again our taxes aren’t used for us in need they always made an excuse !!! Again unemployment denied me in this case as well!!!! What I learned from this? You can only take care of yourself! Calling cops won’t help they mess up the police report and comes after the incident so it’s too late! It took me 6 months back and fort with the police station and the court and result was it would be a tremendous cost to the county! Basically get a gun for your protection before someone kills you in your own bed 🛌!!!! No one helps you it’s too expensive for the county!!!

I was in a car crash in 1981 and comatose for 4 weeks. Because I was 19-legally an adult, but physically dependent-my parents were running the show and only got about $10,000 from the driver's-I was a pedestrian-insurance company. Even adjusted for today dollars, that's a paltry sum. I was one of the first wave of brain injury survivors-at least, those who were able to resume their lives to some extent. I am living in dread, however, of developing CTE or other post-traumatic sequelae.
What about when an uninsured, unoccupied parked car is damaged by another vehicle? Michigan's No-Fault Act, 500.3101, suggests a vehicle must only be insured to drive on the road. This is a crucial exception in hit-and-run situations. Any damage to a properly parked vehicle, even if uninsured, would be considered tangible property damage, making the at-fault driver liable under 500.3121 and the victim entitled to file a claim with the at-fault driver's insurance/PPI.

This is an excellent ruling. In a couple weeks I’ll be getting back pay with interests. Probably around $30,000. We now have agencies coming back so I can go back to work that I want to do. The fight isn’t over though. The law itself still needs to be changed. Anyone after July of 2021 still have to abide by the new law. This only impacted those that had a claim prior to the passing of the law.
Question I was in a hit and run accident here in Michigan got injured went to the ER it’s a cervical sprain. The driver fled I didn’t get a chance to see his/her license plate number. I can’t work for a few months, I do have uninsured motorist on my insurance in the sum of 250,000 will I be compensated or will I have to get a lawyer to seek compensation. Once my mom and I were behind a drunk driver, he swerved left to right and my mom wanted to drive past him. I'm so glad I told her no because later that night he crashed into someone. Luckily no one was hurt.
Hey Brandon, you're pretty happy to give up freedom's for the sake of safety, how about going after the bigger problem of drinking and driving, or maybe smoking weed and driving. I don't see enough enforcement of either of those, how about a law against looking at your on board GPS while driving or hell as long as were stripping freedoms, no conversations with passengers while driving. You people are way to quick to give up our freedoms. Screw all of you, we have laws on the books about reckless driving just enforce it.
If a driver is using his or her cell phone or electronic mobile device in "hands-free" or "voice-operated" mode or if the phone or device is "placed in a mount," then the prohibition on texting, talking, watch videos, and going on social media while driving does not apply.
My husband suffered a severe TBI his senior year of high school in 1998. He was punched in the head so hard his brain swelled, requiring surgery and all the bones on the left side of his face were crushed and required multiple screws to hold the bones together. He spent months in the hospital recovering and missed prom and graduation. It’s been 25 years ago but he still has some lasting effects. They seem to have gotten worse as he’s gotten older too. He lacks any kind of empathy for people and he’s very quick to judge. He struggles with feeling normal emotions, but he’s very quick to anger. He gets really severe migraines sometimes. He has severe mood swings and sometimes it’s like walking on eggshells to make sure I don’t do anything to trigger his anger. These symptoms have progressively gotten worse over the years.

Because you had insurance at the time of the crash - even if you are no longer with that insurance company - the insurance company should be providing representation by a defenses lawyer under the liability provisions of your policy. I'm a medically retired driver and I've been ran into 3 times while legally parked in front of my house. The first one went to jail and the other 2 filed suit. The 3d one even wanted money for medical bills yet when he left the scene it was not by ambulance but in the car of whomever he called. The 3d guy also showed anger when he saw me taking pictures of him walking around unhurt and lifting what looked like a heavy case from his trunk. All pictures were sent to my company's insurance and lawyers. Both lawsuits were dismissed and neither new that one of my duties while on active duty was taking pictures of wrecks. Doing this I learned how to read skid marks and debris and can be close to being spot on in telling what happened. They said that they couldn't see me parked there.🤦🏽♂️ It's not my responsibility to make sure you can see. It is yours. I learned how to drive on active duty and one of things I learned was keep your windshield clean. Both sides. Dust/pollen can build up on the inside of the windows so don't just clean the outside. You also need to clean the inside. Otherwise a haze will build up and when the sun or street light hits it just right you will be blinded to what is in front of you.
It's not made available on a fair and equitable basis. Also, how does a constructive owner insure a vehicle they don't own and don't have registered to them and then be denied what is essentially a statutory right to PIP benefits, for failing to accomplish the impossible? Its unconstitutional in application, because the state cannot control auto insurers to the extent necessary although they should be considered state actors for constitutional purposes. It disenfranchises the disenfranchised and the Legislature caters to the insurers rather than the People. Medicare and medicaid have an absolute right to reimbursement, which serves to raise the price of insurance for those with the lowest income jobs who have no benefits. It is flawed unless those most able to bear the cost of the system are those who the cost is ultimately placed on, by forcing insurers to concern themselves with making insurance available on a fair and equitable badis. We have been attempting to fix it for the last half century and have fbasis. Also, at the end of the day it's auto insurance, it insures vehicles, not people, and it's absurd for the MSC to pretend otherwise.

So I got fired from billionaires club on Christmas day because the members decided to drive their golf cart at 9:30pm from the bar on roadway. They said I did not stop and yelled them coming from employee parking lot. I told HR I did stop saw them far a way like 10 meters (32 feet) and safety made my right turn to the roadway. It’s word against the word they said I endanger them .that if they have their kid with them they wouldn’t be members anymore. isn’t it illegal to drive a golf cart at night sunset to sunrise? No seatbelt no turning signals no registration. HR said it’s private club members always right. What is the law in Hawaii or law doesn’t apply to billionaires?
Reminds me of when I got kicked out of my nighttime freezer position at my old store as it was on Christmas Eve. I was just angry that Christmas when I wanted to just enjoy time with family. I hope you found other work as this post is 8mo old. My story is long (about 4 years) but to make it short, the way I got back at them in the end is I got a daytime position as a cashier, found success, & didn't look back. Eventually I found out that my old boss ran out of people to blame for there problems & actually had to reap what they sowed. I think they got canned as eventually I stopped seeing them around & no one talked about them anymore. Now I have been cashing for 15 years & I never want to work in a freezer ever again.
Sorry to heard that but as I talk to people it’s very common. I refused to work for big corporation companies who only cares about money not their employees. So no haven’t found job not looking for one in Christmas Day it is going to be exactly a year Ive been home not working. Have torn ligaments and unemployment denied me that’s crazy too when you in need they send you that have credit several $10 thousand of dollars from paying taxes 20 years but than they say you denied because you got fired 🤷🏻♂️ so I got hurt got screwed by the employer and than got screwed by government asking for help from paying my taxes 20 y . I live with my mom now .. When I get better I find job only self employed or where is not possibility the same happening again it happens in Costco in freezer when i helped during covid than went to billionaire club and torn elbow ligaments they used me and tricked me to bring release note from doctor to help for Christmas 🎅 party 400 reservations!! They fired me next day on December25 th !!! They kept all the tips said im not longer employed with them !!! Basically bunch of illegal things they did to me but they are so rich no one can touch them I called all attorneys in Hawaii no one would take the cases !!!! That’s the world 🌎 we live in 💩
