Damn straight. Densmore is arguably the most influential member of the band, in terms of the compositions. The bosa nova rhythm on "Break on Through" for instance was entirely his idea. He added more ideas than any other drummer. AND like you said, he's a fantastic live performer. His drum playing is equal instrumentally to the other players instruments. ALSO, thank God, he never did a drum solo. Next time you listen to the song LA Woman notice how the drums are instrumentally equal in intensity
RAY MY FAVE ORGAN PLAYER SO MUCH FEEL AND JUST HITS THE RIGHT NOTES AND JOHN DENSMORE JUST THE BEST DRUMMER EVER A REAL SONG PLAYER THE WHOLE BAND IS GREAT PUT TOGETHER BY GOD
Actually, they were "experienced" musicians. Ray had been playing keys for 15 years before The Doors. John and Robbie were already established in other bands. Jim was the only member who came in with no experience. Don't look at as a negative, because no experience could have brought us The Doors.. it just happened.
You don't know it I wrote it, its about burning reptilians with a chemical explosion it wipe out several blocks there were thousands of them see RU-vid Reptilians. The strange mystery was written up in the California news paper possibly LA Times if you archive it send it to me, please.
Listening to them you would think so they are all so tight and seem to rock the shit out of their instruments, but they werent trained musicians and they had little experience besides john densmore. I think it was the acid and the weed, man. It brings us together and proves what anyone can accomplish by expanding their mind. and by the way js bach is the best keyboardist ever! listen to toccata and fogue shits DANK
