This video got me so pumped I went to play WRC10 and got the #1 time on the daily leaderboard so thank you. I’m here now to finish the rest of the video 😆
Thanks much appreciated , I totally agree there’s just something magic about the mk2 !’ It’s great to see the speed of the 4wd stuff but the engine note and the sideways action from the mk2 is what it’s all about
@rallyactionuk1322 omg definitely I owned a couple of Mk2"s back in the late 80's done the usual mods & loved every minute of driving them,it's great to see so many lovely examples still getting the back end out & sounding awesome
@@stevecurd9113 that must of been fun ! yeah still loads being used for rallies these days amazing to watch ,the price on them these days is top dollar even for a 4 door
@rallyactionuk1322 yeh it was a great time & modifying them was easy, they certainly are fetching top money,I used to work on Sunbeams,Avengers & most proper Ford's they were all lovely to work on not like the ECO module era of today's rubbish
We do get a few on events, more often in the forests stages tho, everyone over here seems to have a mk2 escort there absolutely everywhere but great to watch so I can’t complain
Friday Saturday & Sunday the weekend just gone all based around mid wales area , there is a night event in your area usually starts at the show ground in Carmarthen on the 14th of September the Autumn road rally it’s called but it’s late Saturday night so in the dark you have to get the spectator info and find the location there running ,we always enjoy these types of events
That's just fantastic , watching that brings back excellent memories, I can smell the burning mud on the exhaust and the smell of red hot brakes . Thanks for posting . 😊😊😊
Reminds me of the late 70s when me and a few friends just left the pub in our mk1s and took to the tracks through the woods to avoid the old bill . We all thought we were Roger Clark . 😊😊😊
