Great video. I live in NJ so an "other" is the best way for me to get a functional AR-platform firearm, but I agree that they serve a purpose even in less restrictive states. This reply is late and probably won't be seen, but it's important to attach the VFG to the upper before mating it to the lower. Although in practice it wouldn't be an issue if the VFG is immediately added, for that short time before it is it would technically be a pistol. By putting the VFG on the upper first, this isn't a concern.
@SUBtrauma yes, all AR15 semiautomatic weapons do have springs to reset the trigger forward. We also have the 3MR trigger that resets the trigger about 90% of the way. The difference between a standard trigger spring, and a forced reset trigger is the ability to overpower the standard pull strength of a trigger pull. That being said, if you pull the trigger too hard on a forced reset trigger, it will cause it to malfunction.
for me, the lube; One-Shot...the Hornady die has been treating me just fine. Haven't had any normal brass go up so stubbornly as you are showing (except for that black brass from Vanguard - haven't tried that again - I think it needs some different type of lube, if memory serves). Never have had one of these separations of pulling it apart you are talking about.
This is one of the most affordable and versatile annealing machines on the market. Earlier this year I contacted them and asked if they had anything for their machines to work with 50 BMG brass. They didn't as of yet, so I worked with their R&D department to prototype a kit to allow their machines to work with the larger brass. It hit the market this week!
@Mysterioustical_CDT it's a case annealing machine and prep station. Brass, like many solf metals, work harden. When you fire the round, the brass becomes hard and brittle. By annealing the brass case, you soften it making it more easy to reload and last longer. The prep station is a rotation station you can add different tools to to quicken the reloading process. I use mine to clean the case mouth, size and clean the primer pocket, and clean the flash hole.
@Mysterioustical_CDT this video shows the prototype I worked on in my garage in conjunction with the company to make a set of rollers that allows one to use the machine with the 50 bmg and cheytak rounds.
And annealing the brass with the torch helps soften the brass, which helps with reloading the brass& finally crimping the brass tightly around the bullet again. Technically you don't have to anneal the brass when reloading, but you'll lengthen the amount of reloading you can do with that case if you do. Now if you don't anneal your brass, the case will eventually stress& fracture/ crack/ split open. Then it's just garbage to some&scrap to others. Annnnnnnd FWIW. Annealing necked down cases (any brass that's not parallel from end to opening) helps the most. Straight wall cases can be annealed as well but generally they last long enough where it's not worth it to many loaders. Lastly..... dude must load a buttload of 50. Lol
Aight I see a blow torch to the left. it looks to hold it for a moment on the rollers before setting the new round. so the goal of this machine is to heat up the ass end of the shell? Why? This is a terrible demonstration do whatever the fuck this is lol.
Okay I get the On Demand part. My light turn on Red and For some reason my timer was in middle but all notches where pressed inward which if i understand correctly means off. Can an outage make them all close? It used to be spraying fine but I don’t know what settings those notches where set for before. Also for the timer … If I set it for 12AM to 5AM will it be running for those 5 hours straight or will it only run in between those hours if water is above a certain level?
@DMWDEADMAN assuming it's the same timer as in the video, and pins outward means "on time". Then your pump has been turned off for timed pump. You may also have a pump that is setup where the pins are set inwards for pump time, and it was set to pump whenever the timer was set to "timed pump". For your second question, it will start pumping at midnight, and turn off either when the water lever is low enough, or 5am. Which ever comes first. Unless you have a massive system with a surge tank, 5 hours is plenty of time to pump down.
Can this timer run my pump 10 mins a day every few hours . Im ready the user guide is states only 15 min intervals, maybe you know something different thank you very much.
Yes. Turn the pump to run on timer. Then select the time every hour you want it to go off by pushing the timing pin for that 15 min window out. It will then pump out in that 15 min window as long as their is enough water in the tank.
@anthonyzarcone8696 unless you have a timer that allows you to set in shorter intervals, the standard timer (like shown in the video) only allows for 15 minutes or longer. The vast majority or users pump out at either one time, or twice per day. I used to recommend that people set their timers to the afternoon after they have used the majority of their water in the morning, then again at night while they sleep.
Here in Kerrville there is food establishment (Wahoo) that printed up their own homemade 51% sign, so they are basically calling themselves a bar, when they are actually not…
The insert, remove, turn, reinsert multiple times tip has helped me out A TON. Thank you sir! I wrecked the first 2 out of 3 cases, now I'm rolling through them!
Thanks for the video. To be able to delete an old phone user, you have to first connect a current phone to the car. Otherwise the option to delete a user does not show up.
@OrthoDebo I can't remember what barrel I used. Most of my friends have had the best luck with CMMG barrel. This one was a pistol length gas system. I do recommend an adjustable gad block. I personally like lative system or aero precision gas blocks. As for gas tubes, melonited are very good, but any stainless tube will work.
That type of annealer is much the same from one to the next. If it has a decent drive motor and timer, it'll work. There are a few different wheel styles from brand to brand, and different ways to mount or apply the propane nozzle. And then, it is also subject to the quality of the propane used to give it steady heat.
Propane doesn't really change. Yes, you can use MAPP+ for faster heating. But it really comes down to the nozzle. This kit comes with a quality benzomatic torch. It also includes a prep station which you don't see very often on other units, giving you an added value.
Wow, I saw this video 1 month too late. I used to use the torch/ socket and drill method. Easy and cheap, sure but after 50 or so rounds, drove me nuts. I researched for about a year and last month got the "ugly annealer", and have been very happy. For about the same price, your machine does just as well as mine, but has WAY more features, such as the case prep. Case prep centers you can easily spend over $150 for. The value of this machine is amazing. I was just a month too late to get the value of your machine. Dang it, man! At least my wife loves me.
Did you need to register this build as a SBR to use that rifle lower on a pistol upper ? Please let me kno i want to do this but somebody told me it’ll be illegal to put the KS47 on a pistol upper, BRS47 to be exact
What buffer system do I need to run on mines I got a 5inch Ks47 with a 3.5 buffer tube on it the problem is it only shots one time and the next bullet goes in the chamber but won’t shoot the second round
OK, let's diagnose the issue. When you say it "won't shoot the next round." Is the trigger resetting and dropping when pulled? Is the next round going all the way into battery, bolt all the way forward? If both are happening, are you getting a light primer strike with a small dent on primer?
Heres an idea... dont beat the shit out of your equipment. I know i wouldnt be doing that to my mags, and certainly not to my pistols. I take care of my equipment so it doesnt fail wnen i need it most. And i cant seen any circumstance, even in a firefight, where launching the mags out like that has any purpose. If you have to do that to your mags to get them out, then again, your not taking care of your equipment.
