Dear Judy Featherston, the embroidery pattern you have created doesn’t fit in the frame you selected. Please go to settings and choose a larger embroidery frame or resize the design to fit into the size frame you selected.

I really think videos with music and no info other than a few words thrown up on the screen is a waste. Wish that brother had a bit more motivation to make their videos.

Dear Bridget Cooney, just go to the home screen and select the mode you want to use. Everything else is set automatically by the machine. With our Innov-is XV it is possible to sew with or without the embroidery unit attached.
Thank you for reply, I do have a Brother Sewing/Embroidering machine and learning to use it better, but have not gone from Embroidery to Sewing. Will do in the next few days. Bridget,
There is no mention of, Changing from Embroidery to Sewing, tension, Feed Dogs etc etc etc. You don't even see screen of sewing/embroidery machine, Do you remove Embroidery bed, generally no operation of machine included in video. To me its not a tutorial.
Dear Bridget Cooney, on the Brother Innov-is XV there is no need to remove the embroidery unit if you want to use the machine for sewing. When you select either sewing or embroidery mode the machine will either raise or lower the feed dog automatically. Also the tension is adjusted automatically by the machine depending on the mode.
Dear Carol Healy, with the straight frame it is possible to embroidery shoes up to size 38. The left and right frame allow sizes up to 44. Of course, we are talking about european shoe sizes.
Thanks for your reply regarding size pattern I can download but I'm a bit confused as to why there's such a large hoop where the hoop approximately 14" long and yet you say the biggest embroidery area is 5x7" ?? So what the extra long hoop be of use for can it not be used for designs that are longer than 7" as I fail to see what would be point of having a hoop that length ? Sorry to be a pain in the butt . I'm just so confused thank you
Dear Sue Pearce, the frame you are talking about is the repositionable hoop for larger embroidery design creations (300 x 130 mm, 12" x 5"). 3 pegs for repositioning the hoop in progressive sections to expand the embroidery area without re-hooping. What a wonderful machine and you have done a great video. One comment - the video gives us ideas for items to make but really doesn't show HOW to use the special and specific features of the XV. But thanks for some lovely ideas!
hello i have a problem with my usb stic ...when i put in mashine and chose usb on screen then mashine dont reconize usb , but is new and is from brother ind....ty 🙁
Dear Dragana Radovanov, please try the following: 1. Try a different USB flash drive. 2. Try a different, smaller embroidery design. 3. Double check if you file is a PES or DST file. 4. Make sure you are follwing exactly the steps explained in the user manual of your machine to load your design. If non of these help, please see your local brother dealer.
i buy inovus 955 but i have problem with usb ....when i put usb and chose aplikacion when i wana to start the red boton is still red and on the skreen write ,, retrive the pattern,, ....i dont know what to do !!!!
Dear Dragana Radovanov, all our products with USB ports come with a list of compatible USB stick. In case of Innov-is 955 you can see it there: support.brother.com/g/b/manuallist.aspx?c=gb&lang=en&prod=hf_inov955euk&flang=English&type3=630&type2=100 If you are using a USB stick not in the list, we cannot confirm it is compatible with the machine. Other problems could be that the embroidery area of the file on the USB stick has an embroidery area larger than 100 x 100 mm or that the file isn’t a PES or DST file and not compatible with Brother embroidery machines.
