I made Mr Paul's apple pie it is the finest pie I have ever made. The pastry is to die for the apple filling is wow. Just going to make another for family whilst I'm watching Midsomers Murders. Can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Am keen to know as to why the water substitution and not traditional (?) milk as the liquid, which is acid, but an ingredient in many crumpet recipes, i have discovered, is commonplace (milk is mostly water, innit) - also fermentation time(s) in recipes have ranged from 15 minutes up to as long as 60 minutes. Lastly: when to add the chemical leavening for optimal activation and desired holes. As owner of an Inn, I bake with great frequency for the breakfasts here and so have found the proper crumpet ever-elusive 😞😃. Too little holes appear, due to thick-ish stodgy crumpets with scorched bottoms or lots of holes but, resulting in crumpets that - are a bit thin - confounding even infuriating.
I made an apple pie the other week thanks to you, and now with my pastry frozen from last time im going to have a go at this! Thanks for such great, easy to follow recipes 👍
Hi, Has anybody tried to fix Mr. Paul’s website? There is a critical error on the website and we can’t access all his recipes. There are many that aren’t on Video. It would be a terrible shame to lose them.
After I started following Mr. Paul’s brilliant shortbread recipe, people at work started calling me the office baker because everyone loved the taste of authentic shortbread and they kept asking for more. My most treasured feedback came from a lady from Scotland who said they are exactly how she remembers them from home :)
Here in the US we are getting ready to elect a new president. Not all politicians are good people. It is so reassuring to see Mr. Paul and be reminded of good men who have blessed us. You are not forgotten.
i saw the video during lockdown. and made it then. i had a question regarding salted or unsalted butter, and Mr Paul answered me the same day ( unsalted, or, ,if using salted, miss out the pinch of salt) , Such a lovely man.
I’m so hurt, I lost my precious husband to cancer, just a few months before I lost Mr. Paul. Mr. Paul was my peace, after I lost my sweetheart. And losing him was devastating 😢
I am so angry with God, for taking my sweet mr Paul to cancer….not even a year after He took my husband to cancer! I am angry and bitter, thanks God, for hurting me so much. I’m hurt and broken. And I know I’m going to hell, but I hate you God, for hurting me so…. 😢
@@heather2493 I’m alway at a-loss to why people blame god and not the other one? Above and below are always at conflict, and the other one wins if you doubt your faith in good and bad. Grief is a monster you abide with but eventually it starves to death if you stop feeding it. Much love.
I'm so sad, he seemed like a lovely gentleman, and I just found his channel today! His recipes all look very healthy, well balanced home made, and I looked on his FB page and not long before he looked in great health and spirits! Makes me wonder I have to say, surgery for a neck injury and then he dies from pancreatic cancer?? RIP your channel lives on, and I will try making some of your wonderful recipes. 💔🙏
