You pulled two good manoeuvres on Tim Probert, glad he was looking in his mirrors. Motorsport has a habit of kicking you in the nuts, but your luck is bound to change, a bit of drama does good viewing though, not what you want to hear. Respect you do it all yourself. These are UK spec Formula Vee. Based around the running gear of a classic VW beetle utilising the front beam, brakes, with the 1300cc single port and gearbox, producing around 100bhp at the flywheel. This car is a Scarab mk5. Anything else you'd like to know, please ask.
Hey man, I'm watching your videos for some time now. And I always wanted to be a racing driver but I don't have a racing school in my city and lots of money. But with you I learned about Formula Vee and I want to race in Formula wee I don't know how to be can you make a video about how to be a Formula Vee driver?
@@andiminthegarage7081hey man thank you for answering, I am born and still in turkiye but I am 17 so Im thinking about studying abroad for college I don’t know where I’ll go honestly but I am really into racing and I will do anything to get into it I know its really hard and even harder for me in this situation but racing is my passion and I am currently racing on a sim but I really need a guidance I know I can’t get into racing maybe in next few years because of where I live and of course my funding but I will try everything I just need a guide. Hi, hope your well. Just wondering if you could give me some advice. So I'm trying to save up my pennies this year to get a Vee to race. I'm based in East Yorkshire. I've only raced competively in karts so far so it's all pretty new to me. What should I be looking at when viewing a vee, anything that'd make it a no go? My budget's ~£7000. I've been looking on 750's website and Race Cars direct but haven't seen much. If you know anyone who might be considering selling a vee I'd love to get in touch. The camera is GoPro Hero 7 Black and the data is an app called RaceChrono Pro (on Apple amd Androod) on my phone, linked to a Garmin Glo GPS module for better accuracy. It gives some great data. You download the GoPro footage to the app, and this is the result 😁😁
This was awesome. How much effect does slipstream have on these cars? I saw that you left the trailing earlier than I expected, but I have also never driven these before so I became curious. Great content. 😄
The v was a fun car to drive I had one from 1975 to 1986 hated sell the car but life got in the way .the next best thing to the v are the cycle carts .❤❤❤
My 1965 VW Beetle races with the Historic Touring Cars with an 'Uncorked' Formula Vee engine (GAC twinport 1300cc with twin 44 webers) weighing 688kg and making 126bhp@7700rpm but i'm always surprised how much faster the Vee's are despite the strict engine and gearbox rules....I guess weight is everything. @@andiminthegarage7081 I'm in the same class as the Mini's and every year the pesty Mini drivers ask for the weight limit to be reduced, so its now 680kg with driver, so my cars in bits and i've gotta find another 90kg....It's looking like i'll be able to get another 80kg off the car and the rest is gonna have to come off ME!! Thanks for the feedback. It's difficult to know what to do. I wanted to get accross what I was thinking at the time (it was pretty much that 🤣🤣) What would your preference be? A. Nothing at all. B. Text only on screen C. Me narrating in person. I want to try and create stuff people want...
@@andiminthegarage7081 C. Narrate yourself is always a great idea and separates you from the lazy crowd. Just be sure to pick up a half decent mic and record in a room without echoes or you're better with nothing or text. You can also adjust the frequency response of the mic in software if you're coming across squeaky or whatever else.

No downforce + small amount of tire contact patch = very limited grip. Gets you familiar with how the car reacts in a variety of scenarios. This is why Formula Rookie, Spec Miata, and other entry series are so bare bones. Teaches you the fundamentals before you take on stuff higher up the ladder. I will say cars like this, the miata, anything somewhat slow with limited grip, are extremely fun when at their limit

Looking good! I'm always surprised by how few gears Fvee needs around donnington, my old sprite felt like I was always swapping from second third fourth with no rest apart from the back straight! You seem to just use third and fourth?
