I bought a used 2010 V6 Venza about 4 years ago. I love that thing! It’s wide, long and has a nice height. Very, very reliable. Parts are available everywhere. The new version is beautiful but I prefer V6
The FJ Cruiser should be considered a Land Cruiser not a cousin. It's retro styling and purpose were/are exactly what the original LC's were made for. It is in the LC museum but in the LC Adjacent section. My 2006 FJ Cruiser has 283K and still running strong! No major issues and recently repainted to freshen it up recently.
Just bought a 1998 this afternoon for $1,500. 85, 000 miles with ice cold AC, 5 speed. Green 2 door coupe. My millionth Toyota since getting my license a 100 years ago. Very first car was a used (like new) black on black 77 Toyota Celica GT Liftback. Excited to put some miles on the Tercel and give it some much needed TLC.
Saw a handful of these on a recent trip to Hokkaido and was intrigued by them. One of the few Toyotas I'd never heard anything about. There's very little info about them out there in english, so I appreciate the video.
I bought a 2012 a couple weeks ago as an extra car and I love it. Has 170k and runs great. Just ordered some Megan Racing coil overs and can't wait to get them on the car. Buy them while you can as they are becoming hard to find.
Always wanted one of these after driving one in the early 90s for parts delivery. The 90s ones were nicely styled I feel and I still see them around today.
First car i learn how to drive was a 5 speed manual Burgundy tercel hatchback, in 2000y2k...i remember before entering high school, was kinda sad cause my best friend and cousin who we grew up together were going our separate ways..he was going abroad to go to school,..i remember me and him learning to drive together.
I'm fascinated by subcompacts, especially Kei cars like these made by Toyota/Honda that have managed to reach American shores. I would love to get one of these as a second car, but the used market for these are so expensive as they're hard to find.
1FZFE came with bad headgaskets from design of the material. Most blow them around 200k. Once you do the HG job with a modern gasket it is very reliable.
I got a '04 SR5 Access Cab with a manual trans and it is so much fun! It's a truck... with power... with a manual, i'm surprised I haven't gotten pulled over yet lol
