That is a beauty Sergio. A friend of mine was looking for a 1200. I will pass on the message. Always good to see your new turntables. The one that you got for me is still spinning wonderfully. I love it. Have a great weekend~ Rob/Boston
@@Paneeks1960 HI Rob Always a pleasure to Hear from you,I'm glad to hear your turntable still spinning strong.,Absolutely let's get your friend in touch,I'll work it out whit him,it will be a pleasure,I'm always playing attention to your professorship of videos!✌️,every time I want to explore New Vinyl, I tune one of your videos 🤝!
Sweet looking and sounding piece of history you got there. I love my Technics SL-1210MK5. Using a Ortofon 2M Blus Cartridge mounted on a SH-4 Headshell. Sounds Beautiful.
They are actually great Quality,M3Ds are fantastic Turntables, you probably talk from your experience which is different from everyone else and makes it interesting,Technics go bad when they have been abused and overworked whiteout any maintenance done,I know and maintained in top shape Club M3Ds for 20 years and they still working great,no speed issues no burned down transistors etc etc,you have to keep them in top shape and all will last forever !
Beautiful 1200. I’ve also got an M3D, which I’ve done a lot of upgrades and mods to via KAB. While I do own a couple “better” more high end decks, the 1200 has always been my go to. How’d ya get it so damn clean, or is it just a non DJ’d deck that never saw use in clubs? Thanks for all the great vids, man. Appreciate them.
Oh, duh…sorry. Saw that you painted it. It looks exactly like a new 1200. I had the opportunity to compare a GR side by side to my upgraded M3D and actually preferred my M3D.
Hi,That's complicated whiteout seeing the actual product in person and a previous inspection,it also varies by model, shape etc,I assume you have a Brand new one ! But like I've mentioned,I need to see it and inspect it !
@@robjones7344 Yeah all Decks, can you specify what are you inquiring about or what would you like to know! Being able to seeing them and inspect them applies for all used, New etc any condition!
Another beauty Sergio. You truly are the Wizard of Technics. Thanks for sharing this one. I hope that you have a fantastic Christmas and New Years. I will catch up with you soon. BTW. My T-1200 is running and sounding better than ever. All thanks to you~ Rob/Boston
Hib Rob thanks for checking it out, thanks for your wishes,I Hope you have a fantastic Christmas too and a great new year,I'm glad to hear you are rocking your turntable! Best wishes!

Very nice! I love these turntables. I own a M3D and a 1210MK2. Besides those I have a SL-J2 linear tracking, a SLQD33, a SL-QD30 and on my waiting list is the SL-1200GR2, hopefully the SL-1200G🙏🙏🙏
Hi Sergio. Nice to see you again. Another beautiful turntable. My Technics that I bought from you is running great. Such a nicely built turntable. Hope that everything is doing better than ever in Miami~ Rob/Boston
Hi Robb, like wise, the feeling is reciprocal,it's nice to see you again, always a pleasure,I've been away not posting barely anything,I wanted to share this Beautiful piece,I'm glad to hear your turntable is sound and manifesting good times,I'm always playing Attention to your videos! Best wishes !
I picked up a m3d, the tone arm has alittle horizontal wobble, no vertical wobble. When cueing up a track the needle can jump backwards if not paying attention. Anyone know if entire arm replacement is needed, or can a small left to right wobble be fixed ?
It can be fixed,I fix them,it needs a pro surgery,Both bearings and or spikes Replacement, not many people do it,if you can't find somebody that can do it, you may try to tight the bearings a little until it plays fine,to lengthen the final damage failure ! If not get a new arm and replace it whit a person who knows how to work on technics Turntables!
@@technicsmelancholic6289 Yeah i know a guy who restores technics, 10 hour drive though lol. i had to bring in a mk5 for a cable replacement last month, will have to get in touch and see if he can replace the bearings, i know he can replace the arm though in worst case. Cheers
In your video you stated that the SL1200 MK3D will require a heavy duty step up converter that can cost $200-$300. That’s incorrect and your misleading anyone watching this video. I ordered and received two SL1200 MK3D’s in excellent condition from a very reputable Japanese company. They also sell a converter that I bought for each turntable. The cost was $75 per converter and they are the highly regarded Nissyo brand. They can also be found lightly used and not packaged like mine for as low as $45. It’s obvious you haven’t done the proper research and that takes away from any credibility your video can have. You should edit this for video for those who decide to view it in the future.
You can use the one you have nobody it's forcing you to buy another one,if it works for you fine,I do not care ! I Recomemnd the people the best accordingly to my experience, I don't care if you think I am misleading or if my video has credibility or not, use whatever you want ! Who cares !
Off course you don't see it because it's not made out of Real Gold ! It's Gold looking Paint! But the Turntable it's popularly called Technics Gold Limited Edition ! If it would've been made out of real gold it would cost at least $250 Thousand Dollars !
Do you have an online store or place where we can get updated if you are selling more technics? I'm in the market for a pair 1200 mk5. Based in the US.
Hi I'm currently I'm the process of Building a new Facebook page,my 14 year old page was deleted whiteout notice or reason so I'll let you know,I post to Instagram sometimes instagram.com/technicsmelancholic?igshid=ZDdkNTZiNTM= and upload videos here,I'm in Miami Florida,I also offer repair services ! As soon as I get some Technics I'll let you know!
Hi,yeah M3D has a Reset button and a non click pitch, also they don't come with hinges or receptacles and the on/off knob is a flat not exposed knob, Everything else is pretty much the same unless yours is a Dual Voltage !
@@technicsmelancholic6289 it has the "CAUTION The AC line voltage selector is under the turntable platter" in English and four more languages on its back side, is mine Dual Voltage? I never detached the platter before
@@vadiquemyself yes,you don't have to remove the platter, look through the platter wholes, move it around until you find a white and Red logo with the 2 voltage options make sure it's on the appropriate voltage depending on your Region, country etc, either 110V 120V or 200V-220V !
nice ! I have 2 x 1210's brand new never used ( not the frankenstine ones now showing up for sale I bought them when a rep told me they were stopping production ) the new mk7s dont even compare they arent the same made in Malaysia / Indonesia etc. original 1200 were all made in Japan.
True, it's always good to test the anti-skate while floating the tonearm like he is. I also check the pitch control, and make sure it's calibrated right (dots should like up perfectly at 0%, 3, 6 and -3, or on an MK5 it's 6.4 and -3.3%) and people need to check for Frankenstein decks that are being sold that might have the wrong parts.
Hi Sergio. Another nice turntable. Another solid demo. Thanks for showing the anti-skate and the weight again. I have learned more about turntables from your videos than I ever have online. You are the master~ Rob/Boston
Hello Sergio I was wondering where is your store located and if you fix these turntables . I own two of them that need some cleaning and a little repair. Thanks
hello! I like how you treat the record player with complete delicacy, but the capsule and the water at minute 17:22 seem to be completely uneven! You have to take into account the level and the correct position of the needle and the capsule. greetings good video
Nice beautiful technics mk 5 my favorite color silver 👍😎 is a shame the technic mk 7 is not the wheel of steel so sad. Not bad the price you are asking
Dope video I remember when I first open my new mk 5 when there were new with the box I was so happy full of joys n when I first open my new mk 2 too in the 80s I still have them after all this years 👍😎
What do you mean ? If it is the plastic to wear underneath the slip matts you can get them online ! Or if it is the Dust cover what you've meant online too !
It happens with M5Gs they are not that popular, most buyers are into 1200-1210 MK5s or MK2s,I have a pair of M5Gs and I made them my personal Turntables because I've never sold them,I still offer them up for sale but Nothing ! I like the 2 speeds but you know most people never get to use them.,Most like the classic style !
I've collected many M5Gs for several years,I remember getting them for $400 Brand New,then it took me like 8 years to resell them, also they were not Dual Voltage that make it even Harder to sell overseas ! But They are Great Turntables,I like them !
Hi that's the Price $1500 each I have 2 ! Where are you located at? Please go to my FB page.and contact me there !facebook.com/profile.php?id=100085429333123

1 thing I font understand. If they are 110 240, why do Japanese always only have 110, and people need a step down transformer all the time? Can't they just flick the switch?
They were made for the international Market ! Not Japanese Market! Japan has it's own models and the Rest of the World too ! They have some exclusive models for Japan only like MK4 and MK6 and MK5S !
Japan is actually only 100v that is why. 110-120v North American is to high and will overheat the chip after long term use. The 110-220 switch is for North American / European market
