Hey! I live in Europe, too -- did you know you can order directly from Amazon Japan to Europe (I'm in France)?! And the shipping is totally reasonable, too. Thanks for sharing your incredible haul!!
OHH MY GIRL! You are the reason why when I go to the websites they are out of stock on everything. You bought the whole country 😮 😂. nice haul RoAnna 💜
Thanks for the video. I’m going to Japan in November and have a long shopping list. I used to live in Japan and really miss the stationery, inks, washi tape, etc.
You have done one of my dream things to do in Japan, the other things I want to do is hike, visit amusement parks, and see gardens and shrines. I worry about the cost of flying from Scandinavia and EU. How much luggage did you bring home, did you get an extra bag or just took an empty suitcase? I think I need to save a lot more to visit Japan if I get what I want to get over there. Which is mostly stamps and some washi that I cannot get here. Maybe pick up a Special edition travelers notebook if they are available. I have no idea when they release and always miss out on them. I am at 36:29 and I have to finish this video later since I need to work on my Maters Thesis now!
Hello! Tickets are not cheap from europe but sometimes you get lucky and they are a bit cheaper than usual. Just watch out for tickets or do trial and error for google flights. Also good to go outside the popular seasons (ex. cherry blossoms etc.) and flights are cheaper if indirect of course. I did not bring an extra luggage but I allotted space for my shopping so i did not bring much clothes. There would be some limited editions special for the shops like the kyoto edition will be available in the kyoto shop, the nairita airport edition etc.
No they wont. The goshuincos are quite thick. It's more of A6ish and thick. Sometimes they are also made of a different material depending on where you got them like one of mine is a bit of a metal cover.
@plansandtravel Thank you for that info!! I'll have to look at the shrine then, like you mention ~ Are eki stamps ok in passport size? They seem smaller?
@@katkaat No, the eki stamps are also a bit bigger. I think they are both a6ish. Yeah, you can go to the first shrine or temple and get the goshuin book there. My first goshuin was from the Meiji temple but when we reached kyoto, i found the most beautiful one so i got it again. You will find a lot of amazing designs with meaningful covers.
@@plansandtravel gosh, I hope to get there some day soon. I’m DYING for a kurashiki TSL cover and some other tchotchkes. I’d also go to Sailor for a custom pen. I’d really be such a great tourist.
Can I ask about how much the special edition book and inserts were? I'm looking to go to Japan next year with some friends and I want to have an estimate on how much to spend at the Kyoto Traveler's Company store. Your haul is absolutely amazing by the way! Thank you for sharing.
Hello! I think the kyoto edition kit was around 5,500 yen so around 41usd. Stuff are cheaper in Japan than the USA and Europe shops. Everything japanese brand is cheaper there tbh.
AMAZING! Brought back many memories of my trip to Tokyo in 2005 .... And gave me many ideas of where to send my husband on his next trip. Thanks for sharing 😍
Great unboxings of them all 🙂 at 29:53 what is the leather pen loop? I can see the TRC one at the bottom, however it’s the top one. It looks like one of the new Paper Republic ones. Thanks 👍🏻
