I don't mind the DE grind for upgrades. My problem is I can't use my hero's for the duration of maxing my base out. 2 builders are dedicated to hero's, (at th9 and 10 for me) by the time my base is maxed I haven't used my hero's at all. Good video keep up the work!
@@jackdagon7949 I think exactly the same! I have been playing for years, and most of the times I had at least one hero down, never been able to play a full attack and try out new strategies. Indeed the Unlimited event (if it's coming often) can be a huge boost in experience for the most of us, and thank you:)

Im gonna have to say, he does bot provide good value whatsoever. I've made a lot of calculations on this particular topic. Im gonna list out some comparisons eith maxed out builder apprentice. Case 1: apprentice vs goblin builder Since maxed apprentice costs 6500 gems, with the same amount of gems it is possible to get 162.5 days of building with the goblin builder (10gems/6h, 40gems/day pricing by the goblin) And if we compare the other way around, to get that amount of time saved with the apprentice it will take 487.5 days (assuming no time is lost between cooldowns) Case 2: apprentice vs books (hero & building) Books usually give 1.5x to 2.5x value as supposed to straight up gemming. For the comparison we will only use book of building (925 gems) For 6500 gems, you can get 7 books of buildings and assume each one is used for 15d upgrades so that gives 105 days of *instant* upgrades. Also in that amount of time, the apprentice will save 35 days in total and the difference will only go positive after 315 days (again, assuming no time, not even 1 second lost between the cooldowns) Case 3: apprentice vs gold pass, if we were to outright buy the apprentice to max level. Apprentice costs 6500 gems but the pack for 6500 gems is 60$. For that same price, it is possible to buy 7 gold passes, each having a book of building, heroes and builder boost. If we assume you will have 18% overall builder boost over a season (you won't have the 20% right away so thats why i picked some random number) and the books getd you an additional 20 days each time, you can get... 140 from books, about 226.8 days from builder boosts (assuming you have 6 builders working with no spare time) and we could also add the builder potion, saves 9h per builder so 54h saved each time for 7 season pass .. so toral would be 382.55 days worth of time saved from 7 season passes...and also the apprentice would only save 70 days in this time. So how long would it take the apprentice to do that? 1147.65 days? Thats over 3 years. Keep in mind all of these calculations assume that no time is lost between builder time and apprentice cooldowns. Realistically the apprentice will get even less value since you can only use him again after 24 hours exactly. Books and builder potions do not have this issue at all and the builder boost may only have a small builder empty time intervals where tine is lost. Conclusion: Do not buy the builder apprentice. Bad value overall.
Again, it might be worth just buying the first 2 levels instead of let's say buying a book of building but even at the best value for book (16d), it would take 192 days just to get that same amount of progress (again, assuming you don't lose any time in between) It's both unsatisfying and also quite rightly poor value. I just wish to see an improved B.A., for now he is nothing more than a scammer imo. They need to dramatically increase his speed or decrease his cost or even just reduce his cooldowns by 1 hour, that would be enough for the B.A. to be actually worth
You will regret not buying the builders apprentice sooner, every day you dont have him you lose value . He provides infinite and targeted value . Your comparisons are apples to oranges. Goblin builder and books are short term boosts the apprentice is long term. Also no one is gonna spend 6500 on goblin builder so why compare them , they are too different
@@gameloser2893 I don't have enough gems to buy with to begin with on most of my accounts, I only have 1 account that has a decent amount of gems but not willing to buy it now since I know that I will almost certain never get the value back Besides I'm not a very active player, if you aren't active it's basically useless to get him at all
Watch the whole video, i compared Goblin Builder (Best short term Gem value in game rn) with the Apprentice Builder, and you need around 300 days to make the same value from lvl1 and lvl2 A.B. Watch 1:38.
Apprentice Builder is overall best value, I agree, we cant use it Exactly every 24 hours, but it's on the long run will benefit a Way more than any items in game, as mentioned above it's an infinite worker, meamwhile every other value is finite.
