Have you watched any of the others before, yes hes white. I have biracial nieces and nephews, he said he's not trying to be The LEGEND PRINCE. I was blessed enough to see PRINCE back in 1998 floor, middle row 3 rows back, married about a year, any ngl my husband would've lost his wife 😂😂 but here we are 27 years later. See if you like Purple Madness better.
DENM is going to be one of the best overall Artist in the music industry. He has one of those incredibly rare voices and is a natural songwriter in any genre, & heck he already won a Grammy as a Producer. Humble individual and amazingly talented!
Great set, wish we could have gotten to see more of Joe Samba but were here to the end and back for Fortunate Youth. They just needed 10 minutes between sets at least. Really like having them in a festival line-up because they have that right amount of energy and vibe to get the day up to full speed. It's day one, some people just traveled and everyone is feeling things out. What to drink, where are the lockers, the toilets, was security cool or am I glad my stash was stuffed in an uncomfortable place. The opening bands might be cool but most havent heard of them and so its 50/50 and its not like you're singing along. Like you're starting to feel the buzz but dont know if its going to be a good or bad trip yet. They have that ability to get people going. There's still many who dont know them but there's enough who have, that combined with some great hooks they get the crowd feeing good and people moving. Fortunate Youth are the kings of it with Dan's explosive energy and DENM has the same ability. Or maybe because 3 of 4 times Ive seen them were festivals but I doubt it. If you werent dancing after this and FY then nothing was going to do it.... It could just be different phones but felt like the audio was better in GA, I put up life's too short that I took from a spot on the other side thats not far off from being the mirror to where you are. Check it out and see if you want, would love to hear your opinion as a few videos I've seen from VIP seemed that way.
Music on the VIP side seemed to echo off the condo building behind the bleachers for sure. Some bands handled it better I think. Sublime sounded sloppy and muddy, but Rebelution sounded pretty good from where we were on the bleachers. We were 20ft from the stage for Steel Pulse and it sounded crisp. Overall, great show. Sad the Expendables had to cancel really wanted to see them
I'm a fan of kramer knives. My first Serious knife was the stainless steel kramer essential line. That was the best knife I've ever used (I've had a tojiro dp, kikuichi carbon gyuto, Nigara Bunka, etc), and the kramer was the best for me: it was easy to sharpen, held its edge for a while, and felt the best in hand. I gave it to my friend when she moved to New York as a parting gift (she was the reason why I got into cooking in the first place). I did have a 10 inch Kramer Meiji, but I didn't like the handle on it. Yestreday I saw a Kramer Damascus on amazon for $248, and was surprised because they are usually closer to $400 for the 8 inch version. I've never heard of knock/off replica Kramers but figure if something is off or if something wasn't as advertised then I can just return it.
The 90s was Definitely a different navy back then compared to when I was in during the early 2000s. In a lot of ways it felt like the navy was getting worse till I got out in 2010. That seemed to be the majority opinion of all 12+ year E5s and E6s back then. E7s would never or rarely talk about how the navy was when they were a young sailor. It always felt like they got brainwashed a little bit after going through Chief selection.
This absolutely outstanding cue wasn't easy to pull off, even for Williams himself. His original cue for the sequence was rejected (yes, even the Maestro gets one on rare occasion) & he was tasked to rescore it with more usage of classic SW fanfare from the first movie. Even after successfully doing so, the sequence had been re-edited over & over again so many times that the cues didn't match on-screen action. Without time or opportunity to record a third version, the editors butchered the track to pieces. This is something that happens more & more often in the prequels. I was really wondering how a live orchestra would perform this cue with so many alterations & jarring rhythmic changes. I've got to say, the National Symphony did an excellent job! You can certainly tell that the film version was a cut & paste, but the quality of the performance made it a very enjoyable experience. Well done!
OD/01 2007-2009. she was a great ship with a great crew. I was fortunate enough to deploy with her during that timeframe in support of the GWOT and Harry S. Truman strike group...she was a proud ship and will hold a special place in many people's hearts
