So being as this is a 4 year old video I have a couple questions since I need to do this to my 00 4x4. How has the LMC dash held up- they still are not cheap @ $260 for the dash and another $170 for the bezel plus another $5 for the clips. Next - was the Amazon one the same thing as far as able to be screwed on or was it just an actual crappy cap that was to go over the carcass/remains of the dash pieces?
I purchased the LMC one (tan colored) for my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport pickup approximately 3 years ago. It has held up just fine. I live in south Texas so the sun does get brutal here during the summer. It is DEFINITELY better quality than the piece of crap that DaimlerChrysler installed when I bought my pickup brand new. I followed the video that LMC (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0COhh7RCU50.html) has even though it is only approximately 13 minutes long. A few suggestions if you plan to tackle this yourself. 1.) Take your time and take lots of pictures to fall back on in case you forget how something was before you removed it. 2.) Take more pictures. 3.) When it is time to remove the dash, I would have someone to help lift and remove it completely. It's not because it's too heavy but because the remaining plastic frame pieces are so brittle that it will break if it twists and turns while removing it. I had to use JB weld, some wood pieces, and some of the broken plastic to repair where the plastic broke. 4.) Again, take notes and/or pictures of any electrical connection you remove and it will save you from future headaches when trying to remember what went where. If you have worked on cars before and have some mechanical ability, this job isn't too difficult. Good luck!
LMC made a video and it's pretty complicated and they suggest you do remove the entire dashboard, mine is a 2002 dashboard completely crumbled, thanks Dodge.
I stumbled across a unknown leather holster on Amazon. Turned out to be a Masc holster. I needed a holster for a upcoming CCW class. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.
Essentially, yes. But be very, VERY careful of the dash core. It will be just as brittle as the dash pad. In fact, it would probably be better if you avoid touching, breathing on, or looking for too long at it in any way.
I have a 2000 dodge ram laramie slt i am thinking about buying a carbon fiber or stainless steel trim for my ram dash bezel i think it would look neat.
I like the stock look, though I did wind up painting one bezel to match the dash color and it came out looking pretty good, actually. The bezel was used and had a little scuffing and I absolutely declined on moral grounds to buy another can of paint just for that, so I used the paint I bought to spruce up that godawful brittle cupholder I had to replace on it.
Lmc is a actual dash top shell that is why you have to disassemble the truck to install it, my truck has a dash skinz dash cap,lmc dash top shell is a very impressive product.
I bought my replacement from LMC , installed it , and immediately installed the velour dash cover. I did this a few years ago and I now live in SWFL @@RamblerReb
Bought this holster because everyone else for some reason don't want to make a holster for the 856 defender!! But this company did .when I got it I was very surprised how good the quality was. Especially since I usually use the galco combat master and 1791 holsters..now it's not gonna be as good as them two..the 1791 is a tank and the combat master is so darn nice you almost don't want to use it! Not really a paddle fan either but I'll also say this paddle was better than most..not as good as the concealment express paddles but close..
The reverse cant; is if you want to cross draw. I have an uncommon S&W 686 plus with a 5 inch barrel. MASC is one of only (2) companies that make one for my particular revolver. Yet MASC's price point is 25-33% lower than the other company. I personally like to have at least one holster for every handgun that I own; even if it is not carried very often. For the ones that I carry often I usually have more than one style of carry holster for them. Like: OWB, IWB, Cross Draw and pocket style.
I fixed mine by replacing the bolt assembly entirely...Century Arms did a crap job of messing with the assemblies to make them into "spec"...was a PAIN to charge....got a CETME parts kit, problem solved.
Now that is amazing that you installed that new dash board with out having to pull out the entire sub frame assembly just because of a few small screws behind and under the dash. That really has built up my confidence to do this by myself. ☺👍
This happened to me just last weekend at the range, took apart the c91 in the back of the jeep, whipped out the leather man, bent that ejector slightly and then used the file to take off the burr that formed on the ejector, put it back together, mag dumped another 80 rounds of Russian 180 grain steel case through her without a hiccup.
Did you ever fix your issues? I recently purchased one and it cycles fine. But the initial first charge is terrible!!! Have to slam it on the ground half the time to get the bolt back. And I have replaced the rollers with new HK rollers and deep cleaned with no results
That carpet padding looks absolutely ridiculous I agree. I need to replace my carpet, getting more and more concerned about buying an ACC Carpet product... But it looks like they are the only game in town :/ Maybe I'll just pressure wash mine and see if I can stick with what I've got...
@@capricorn2816 My Kahr has a stainless slide and the other has nickel. Both are fine. Strange. Sorry you had problems. Maybe you got a Monday or Friday holster.
NEED TO FULLY STRIP DOWN THE RIFLE PART BY PART AND CLEAN LITERALLY EVERY INCH OF IT LOL I HAD TO DO THE SAME WHEN I BOUT MY CETME 308 , EVEN SUPER SCRUBBED OUT THE WHOLE IN SIDES OF THE CUT OUT FOR THE CHARGING HANDLE IN THE RECIVER THEN ALSO ADDED A G3 RECOIL SYSTEM AND FOLDING STOCK LUBED IT UP GOOD AND ITS BEEN A BEAST EVER SINCE NO ISSUES .
I got one of the original runs when century was just setting for reduced and maybe 15 years or so ago. First thing I do like tore it down and took a micrometer to every part and anything that didn't look quite right I replaced with brand new HK parts or cetme parts that were available. The bottom line is recheck everything can't count on the manufacturer to get the surplus rifles correct out of the box especially at the price point mine never failed in any way shape or form wish I still had it. One of the big area of concerns with these is a r r o lock system and they rely on the flutes in the chamber for proper extraction it is part of the extraction system so take a dental pick and clean those out thoroughly after that just use a 7.62 x51mm brush keep it clean clean the rollers clean the Locking piece and you should be good to go.
Lol so you have problems with a gun....rather than get in touch with the manufacturer....its back to gun broker? If I was gun broker I would ban you from selling guns that you know have problems
That's your extractor arm common problem with that. What happens is there supposed to be a secondary disconnect. But the government makes them take it out. You need to order a semi automatic trigger Box for that century puts the standard Box in.
Mine had a broken firing pin the first time I opened it up to clean it. I just bought a stainless steel firing pin and voila. A broken pin could produce a slam fire so watch out! The manual says to clean the barrel after each shot for the first 150 rds or so. I believe the firing pins are the gun's weak spot. You always want to make sure to slap the bolt closed so it's all the way foreward. Mexican Army uses the HK G3. These guns are powerful ARs. Bought mine about a year ago with CETME wood and no problems from Cabelas.
the only thing on those rifles not made by ptr is the bolt and carrier group the trunions and the rear sights so a 50 year old or older firing pin breaking should be expected.
El problema es que en la marca Century la mano de obra es de mala calidad en comparación de un HK es como comparar un pistola colt 45 1911 con una pistola llama 45 modelo 1911 o estiló 1911.
Selling a broken/malfunctioning gun ....I just hope you are honest and disclose the issues the gun has.... Not be a pawn star wannabe jackass just trying to make a buck but somebody else's life.....
I got a lemon with mine the bolt won't fully close when I slap the charging handle there is a small gap in the ejection port and it has a lot of feeding issues waste money lol
