I've purchased your running lights and signal harness version 2.0, but I'm facing installation challenges. The instructional video depicts mirrors with plug-in signal lights, whereas my aftermarket tow mirrors have soldered connections, similar to those in the version 1.0 harness installation. The module's wiring configuration also differs, featuring two wires instead of three. I would appreciate clarification on the correct installation procedure.
We will share the interest with the team, though it's not in the immediate plans as our team has spent a ton of time designing these mirrors we just released and they work great!
There is a reverse wire and running light wire inside the cab that you could use instead of running up to the front fuse panel. Is there any reason for not using that with some of the same fuses as the turn signals? Edit: you guys really need to rethink the mounting location of the control module! Zip-tieing it to some 25 year old foam is an incredibly poor decision! Crazy!
We have to identify tap locations that are universal across the entire year range - sometimes that means that certain trucks could have alternate locations but the ones shown in this video are for sure functional for all of the vehicles advertised. You're welcome to mount the ECU wherever you'd like - I personally have it mounted on my 02 Sierra just like in this video and have had it like that for 18+ months without an issue, but you can tap it however you'd like!
The wires are for the high beams and fog lights - the purpose of the mod is to have the fog lights remain on with the high beams (normally they turn off)
It depends on which wire you connect to - we always recommend double checking. If you're having issues contact our support team at 765-831-2830 and we will assist in getting it resolved ASAP!
For a 2023 Canyon - please reference one of the below two videos: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b0hcPwOtIUk.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OFMLN9zqS74.html
@bobdillon4525 0 seconds ago My harness has 7 total wires connected to it, not 2 like in your video…..2017 F250 1 wire in port#2 through port#6, 2 wires in the port #1
Yes - option for signal only boards with the puddle light option and then don't hook up the turn signal! If you have questions, give our team a call at 765-831-2830 and they can guide you through exactly how to spec them out.
@@sohiskylines Our engineers spent over 2-years trying to get the cameras compatible. We got them to work, but the image quality didn't meet our standards due to alignment. The camera location on the small mirrors is different than the tow mirrors, so if you're going from small->tow you can't just swap mirrors with camera, the vehicles computer needs reprogrammed and GM has done a GREAT job at making sure you can't reprogram these modules.
really love the look of your steps and the install process but they do not appear to actually drop that low, especially when comparing to some of the AMP research ones. Is there a way for you to modify the bracket mounts to allow for adjustability so that we could get even more drop? Also, is there an override switch as part of your system that allows us to force them in or out and stay in or out?
We optimized the drop vs. the body position - making the boards drop further requires deeper arms which then makes the resting fit not as good. Using these steps daily on my build, I will personally say that I think the drop is more than adequate. We don't offer any adjustability as to the drop, but I will certainly relay the interest to the development team. As for an override, we don't have that - but we do have a way to keep the boards down. That is displayed at 28:42 in this video. If you wanted the boards to stay retracted in, the easiest way would be to pull the one fuse on the main harness! Let us know if you have any further questions.
If I just wanted the white running lights with start up sequence. Do I have to do any extra wiring. Or they just plug and play. Not interested in the turn signal kit if I don't have to.
Thanks! Struggled with mine but this helped a ton. For 2020-2023 It isn't a slide down but there are 4 clips you have to disengage. Slide down would be easier. For clipping onto the motor it really really doesn't look like the tabs match up with the circular piece but they do. I found they have to slip in starting with the inside clip the pulling over to the top and then right and bottom should follow and takes a bunch of effort.
Our customers spoke, and we listened! We are constantly improving our products and we heard from customers that they wanted this feature so it's now an option! If you already have our steps you can snag a harness for a quick plug and play install for your existing steps, otherwise if you're looking to pick up a set you can option with these proactively now!
So on 2016 sierra when the fog lights are on during the day the blue/red lights around the radio and ac controls are illuminated also, with this kit will it still do that? And does it indicate The fog lights are on, in the Instrument cluster?
This won't trigger the fog lights during the day - they will come on when the park lights are on which if you leave your headlights in AUTO mode that means they'll only come on at night. When this mod triggers the fog lights they will come on, but the indicator on the dash won't be on.
I have the switch back lights with the running light, after wiring, the turn signals and backup lights work but the running lights do not turn on. Any ideas?
If you don't want to hold the button the high beam to spot mod might be a better option for you. The high beam to spot leaves the spot lights ON anytime the high beams are ON (no need to hold a button).
