This moment is beautiful for SO MANY REASONS. How Liam builds and builds on this innuendo/quiproquo, Travis's reactions that are just a masterclass, Laura as an invisible wingwoman/hypewoman, The audience doing a fabulous job at giving resonance to it all... It's just perfect in every possible way.
Sometimes little clips of CR pop up as suggested content and if they are short enough I'll watch....this one just confirms my suspicion that this show is absolutely not for me
Imagine Nott died that game somehow either as a direct or indirect result of the 2d10 damage for being annoying Also why is Sam in a wig dressing as a girl still way cuter than me?
I have seen this video recommended for months as I go through campaign 2. I never clicked, fearing spoilers. I spent the entire time thinking "oh dear. Theres going to be a huge dramatic moment of the characters disregarding the dangers of the situation and suffering the consequences!" Today i saw it recommended again, as I see ive already seen this episode, trying to think of what dramatic moment it was. And it was the Britney Spears bit, the Opposite of a Big Dramatic Story Moment Its funny
I started doing that with my players: Keep going off topic, the instigator suffers damage. Matt was harsher than I am, though. His was 2d10, mine was just 1d4. I do escalate for repeat offenders, though.
I love that there was no questioning or bitching about nott taking the damage, there was just a collective moment of “yeah, we were warned, weren’t we? “
Really shows the importance of having some kind of bond of trust between DMs and players. Players trust the DM to have good judgement and not be an ass. DMs trust the players to trust them with their rolls justifications and rulings...and to not be an ass.
People say Matt has a stoic personality as a DM. No he's just been with these lunatics for the long haul he's seen it all. At least thats how I see it...
I don’t believe that Matt as seen it all especially when it come from Sam, he just have high level resistance. Ps I don’t think Sam as shown all he got yet.
No one is upset about it and it doesn't take away from the experience. This is their table and their game that they are being generous enough to share with the public. The fact that you don't find this little gag funny or enjoyable is kinda weird. Are you one of those people that absolutely needs to follow every last rule in your games? In the most flexible and modifiable game really? You're one of those guys?
