Zebralette = free version. Zebra = paid version. And of course there's issue with this plugin. It is BETA, so still in development. You guy don't know what you're talking about. The worst video on plugins I ever watched on youtube.
That is your opinion and even your opinion is valueable,Mabey you check and go do some research and discover that i am not the only one having this experience with this plugin! My job is to tell you my honest experience with plugins and i am not payed by anyone incluiding my viewers and with my channel you get it as raw and UNCENSORED as i can!You are contradicting yourself in your comment because you are saying that there are Issues and its a Beta and its still in development?AND MY JOB IS TO TELL TO THE DEVELOPERS AND MY VIEWERS WHAT THOSE ISSUES AND PROBLEMS ARE!Do you really understand what a first hands on review/test on youtube actualy means?.....Cheers
@@31LR176 So, in fact you just not like this synth. That's your opinion and it is valuable. But it is just your opinion. The title of your video say "the worst plugin I ever test" which is wrong, even if you and a hand of other folks don't like it, that doesn't mean that it is the worst plugin. As other guys here said : your title is a clickbait and nothing else. This is not an honest review, this is your opinion. I don't know if you are a music producer or not, but there's a lot of well known producers who made real reviews of this plugin, even tutorials. Not sponsored videos because it is a free plugin (as its previous version). They know what they're talking about. I am also a music producer and at first glance I thought you were (I suspect that this is not the case). I was looking for valuable informations about Zebralette 3. You didn't provided them. They did. NB: Playing with Zebralette 3 Beta on a PC (i5 6600k, 32gb ram) on a real DAW (Ableton Live) and I have zero performance issue. You better listen the majority of the comments on this video and change to another DAW, or better : stop making not honest vst plugin reviews you don't have a single clue on how using them.

I run Linux as a every day driver, but i need to run windows also because in music production there are a lot of plugins and digital audio workstations that only run on windows unfortunaly! Also many people that work with adobe products like professionals are bound to windows!I love Linux and woud only run Linux if i could, the problem is that Linux haves only 4% of marketshare so software developers are not willing to port there programs to linux!Tnx for your comment and Cheers
That´s right,we are emulating the 1930 so we have to go all backwards!I have placed the plugins in a bunch of different configurations but the result i got in the end,i liked the most with this setup! In audio production, the layout of the plugins really matters but like this, not so much!Audio is in the Ear of the beholder and depends really on what monitor speaker system you are listening this on!Also youtubes compression sometimes crushes the sound and lowers the LUFS like crazy @--16 lufs! All my uploads are mastered at -1.0 dbfs!Tnx for your comment and Cheers
My screen layout is not as complicated as yours. If you use use track view you can see all of those pro channel modules and mixers right beside the track you are working on. You can also slide up the bus window from the bottom and also see it’s pro channels beside each bus. I have my console strips narrow which allows more strips on display, I also have the console on a second monitor along with the browser and the synth rack. With a bit of arranging you can get a very clean layout and then save it, so it always opens in your favourite way.
Hi there thank you for your comment and tips!I have a small monitor on this pc @720p so everything is crammed up,I already found a better layout now using a 1080p screen and using a different layout in cakewalk and gonna take your advice and buy a second monitor to really improve my workflow and youtube reviews ofcourse! Thanks again for your advice and Cheers from Alex in Portugal
@@31LR176 Hi Alex, glad you manage to improve the layout. If you look under the Advanced drop down somewhere near the top right of the screen you can go in there and save the layout once you have got it how you like it, so it always opens the way you want it. Best wishes Derwent.
I tell you, I have Cubase 13 but I use more Cakewalk by Bandlab almost all the time, I like the audiosnap, Channel strip also the mixer, remind me an analog console!
@@edrickblade yes i also love Cakewalk and Tracktion waveform the most,Bitwig is a mixed bag for me,some things i really like but the Ableton layout is not one of them! The channel strip in Cakewalk is a must have because it really saves time loading and searching for plugins!Cakewalk is based on Sonar Platinum Daw 30 years old and use to cost 600 euro in the end of Sonar! It´s a really stable DAW,a industry standard and light on resources old workhors!Old outdated workflow Gui,but it works stable!IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT,i like that kind of retro/vintage vibe that Cakewalk gives me!Cheers from Alex
Unsupported hardware is criminal, if you abandon your hardware you should be legally obliged to open source any software such as drivers needed to keep the hardware functional. Capitalism will be the death of us all.
Hi there, tnx for your comment! You will see next year when windows 10 stops having support in october because of the outrages high hardware requirements of windows 11,how much more E waste we will have! Also because there is gonna be to many older PC´s for sale second hand the value of older pc will drop rock bottom!Planned obsolescence is big business for the multinational corpos in suit!Cheers from Portugal, where we don´t trow away anyting and fix and use it till the very end of time!😁
The irony is that these agencies are by far the largest creators, funders and facilitators of Malware and Ransomware. I guess the time has come to get rid of the useful idiots, tie up the loose ends and close the gates.
Your right about that,it´s all about Action,Reaction,Solution!Sometimes they create the illness to sell the cure and manytimes they sell solutions for problems that simply don´t exist!Cheers
I switched. Zorin has a great look. The easiest thing so far was games. No Mans Sky works great. I get asked for password alot for things I shouldn't be and for each and every operation. I don't like this looking for solution. Some apps are janky, don't work, or charge like $10...monthly... And there are great apps as well. I'm going to keep going with it. I dual boot so if I need Windows I still can.
(I get asked for password alot for things),is a security feature thats prevents hackers and virus/spyware and randsomware ect to attack or alter your system! You can turn this of but i don't recommend doing this!Just ignore the apps that cost a monthly fee,you don't need those anyway, there are alway's free options out there!Tnx for the comment and Cheers
When you do terminal I think it's on a timeout. So periodically. Applying it to GUI is different, things fail without asking, or ask over and over depending. Like the software store going to get a bunch of apps or try some out. Sometimes it asks twice. A pin would be better, a timeout, something else. More options to apply security like how often to ask... Anyways, appreciate the video and calling out the BS at the end.
Let’s be honest there is no windows alternative mainly due to software compatibility and hardware driver support. For example, none of the Adobe software works on Linus and you will never get the latest driver update from Nvidia (maybe it is being worked on by somebody, I don’t know). You can have an OS that looks like windows but if you need software more than typical office stuff you need to do your research before converting. The only good thing about Linus is it works on older computers so you don’t have to throw them away. If in doubt, stick with Windows.
it's Linux not Linus. And you are right adobe stuff won't work. But new nvidia drivers for linux come out all the time, I'm not sure where you get your information from. I'm content with gimp for photo editing and kdenlive for video, but not everyone is. I always recommend people to make a bootable linux USB stick and boot from it and play around. You don't have to install it, but you get a bit of an idea if you might like it or not.
Yes there are some (payed)programs that don´t work, but there are linux alternatives for those programs!I have a windows PC also because there are games and plugins, ect that i use for productions/reviews that realy need windows! But for most people linux haves all they ever need!So powerusers are sometimes bound to windows and mac or even unix! And Linus is the guy from the youtube channel LTT,you know, the one with the high pitch voice!lol,Cheers
thinking of ditching Windows and going with Zorin. my only concern is with my current peripherals (keyboard, mouse, speakers, etc) and if there will be compatibility issues.
Tnx for the nice comment,my other channel is called (too many plugins) i am aware that (to) is not correct english but i think most people understand it!Maby i should call it (2 many plugins) for more clarity!Cheers
Do you actually have any sources for your "woke" claims revolving around mint and the others? Looking up "linux mint woke drama" online brings up absolutely nothing. Additionally, even if you can cite a source, why does it even matter? You are obviously aware that Torvalds is what some would call "woke", why are you on linux at all in this case? Why is the line drawn at "no, I won't use mint cause they are woke" instead of "no, I wont use linux because it is woke." Leaving mint and opensuse out of the discussion for this reason is very stupid. Edit: also making a video trying to sell me an operating system where you don't even boot up the os is kinda wild.
God please no. Never EVER recommend Zorin. It's always based off of a old ubuntu build, any third party application will look OUT OF PLACE. And they have paid tiers locking features behind paywalls. A actual windows replacement would be things like Kubuntu, linux mint, or if you're more advanced, Garuda linux (KDE) / Manjaro. Just no. Zorin is the poorest choice when their are way better desktop environments.
Geez I didn't realize that Zorin was based on ubuntu 22 still, thats pretty bad. A lot of people who are moving to linux are wanting to game and using a distro that is based on an ubuntu that old means you miss out on so many performance improvements and the such. I've seen many many reddit posts from mostly mint users (which iirc is also still ubuntu 22) saying that games dont work right, and the culprit is always out of date packages and kernel, zorin has this same issue. I wouldn't mind paying once for a linux distro, but zorin doesn't offer anything that puts it above other distros with the paid tier, and instead the free version is slightly gutted compared to other distros. My garuda installation is far more capable than zorin and it was free, so yeah agreed on all points
Just as debian is also a old linux build, zorin is based on a old build for stability! If you run the latest linux version you will run into alot of bugs! That´s the problem with the latest software so if you wanna be a Beta tester go and run the latest linux OS but if you want stability you have to run older bugfree linux just as debian & redhat does for enterprise use for the pro´s out there! The paid tiers are just for extra apps and features but if you know how to install anyting in linux this is no problem at all,It´s just like donating for future development of Zorin!Notting to bad on there part!Tnx for your nice comment and Cheers
@@31LR176 LTS kernels and stable releases are fine, but zorin is running a very old stable version. Debian bookworm is a stable non rolling distro and the most recent version 12.5 came out in February, with the base 12.0 coming out in june 2023. Zorin on the other hand is based on ubuntu 22 with a release date in 2022. As far as I can tell, zorin is running an old 5.x kernel that will be lacking support for numerous devices and features. The newest AMD cards will most likely have issues on such an old kernel, and that's not a complicated power user request for one's gpu to be plug and play. Linux development the past 5ish years has moved so fast that running such out of date software puts you at an unneeded disadvantage that imo it shouldn't be recommended.
i personally feel Ubisoft needs to become comfortable with going bankrupt and selling their entire library to a more competent owner, but if that new owner does the same crap as Ubi, then they will go out the same way. i mean they are fetishizing that future for you, to own nothing including your games purchased through them, so i extend that same invite to them to become comfortable with going bankrupt.
You are right about that, just no one wants to buy Ubi only Tencents,a company that comes from the communist chines party and Embracer group that is not interested also!If you are looking for a new owner that is gonna be differente then ubisoft you are looking in the wrong direction!all these company´s are gonna double down even more on NOT OWNING NOTTING and woke DEI and petty micro transactions and shaking there customers upside down for the last nickle and dime! cheers and happy hunting for a better game company then Ubitrash
@@31LR176 your right, especially in the west, the west just wants to destroy itself in the MESSAGE, well the MESSAGE is being rejected from every direction possible and they will cause themselves to go bankrupt on this MESSAGE, and you know what, i could care less for their product if it's going to be more propaganda political slop. but it's not even the whole DEI stuff, that doesn't help i will admit, but i don't like the company, they used to be a company i trusted as a consumer, but like many of these companies i feel so jaded and i have began to hate them and want them to go without money for a while, perhaps when they hit rock bottom, they might realize the direction they were willing to go has left them with nothing. all Empires must fall, and Ubisoft's Empire must fall.

Yes it completaly depends on the hardware you are using, some folks can run it good on old 2014 cpu's and others struggle on modern hardwareIIt need to be better optimized for overall compatibilty and they need to bring the resource use down in the final release!I am shure the developers can do it in the end, cheers
Yes but when you dual boot with windows the time goes out of sync, ofcourse you can manual sync the time or install linux nf timesync for servers to automaticaly every 2 minutes update sync time to a main time server and then the problem goes away so a easy workaround is available, tnx, cheers
I tested in Ableton 11 on a Quad Core AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with 2.10 GHz notebook, working fine, without clicks or annoying noises. The CPU uses is like the uad PolyMAX so on a dual core maybe it can give worse results, but probably on retail release the plugin will be optimized.. I remember Repro Alpha was quite cpu hungry also in early phases... trust u-he... his ZebraHZ worked fine in my old samsung rv415 from 2011...
Tnx for your nice comment,i love all the plugins from U-he and i am shure they will fix and optimize it for more computer combinations out there,zbl3 on final release will be awesome for shure, also thanks for sharing your system specs so people who have more or less the same system know that it will work well on there system, cheers
the biggest problem is that you are not qualified to review plugins and DAWs in most capacities other than surface level observations by virtue of your lack of ability to create music.
Where do you get that information from? And tell me then just how do you "get qualified to review" plugins and DAWs and how do you know what kind of music i produce?Do you have a PHD university degree in reviewing plugins or DAWs or something?
its a beta.... some people should be aware of that ... its for testing... people should report the problem & thats it .. some ppl. going mad that high is ridicules.. nobody is forced to invest time or money . Devs. ask for help..holy moly..people emotions are maybe hard influenced by to much social media these days... You know..
Yes that´s right, people get way to emotional invested in something that is simply a beta with problems that they in the future can fix by us,the beta testers being critical and show the bugs and errors!I really like zebralette 1 and 2 and i am shure that the devs will improve the program and i can give the final release a thumps up!I have spended a lot of time retesting zbl3 on 4 daw´s and 3 computers to give it a fair chance!Thank you for your nice constructive comment, cheers

It is clearly advertised as a free plugin! Wait for the final release and then talk please. The excuse is there and is called "beta status"; maybe there are issues with some systems - perfectly fair for a beta in my opinion - so your video is completely unfair - still in my opinion.
@@31LR176I was so annoyed by the title that I didn't (I usually *don't* behave like this). I'm watching it now and it confirms my speculations about it. If you don't expect any kind of issues in a beta, don't test the beta and don't blame it.
I tested it too, the CPU usage of the plugin is high, though it sounds good but I doubt you can run 5 instances of the plugin in a project. Reminds me of other powerful plugins but you can't use, kind of like owning a nuke.
