To me, this scene is just gaara, acting in the capacity of a kazakage, speaking. Gaara, in his personal self, will not say this. Because his current job title is a kazekage, he has to say like that. I dont think Gaara is that serious and self sacrificing as a person. He is just doing what a kazekage is supposed to do.
I remember watching this ep. In Indonesia translated anime, Gaara said "When will you die" (If translated back to English). I was happy he said that, because Tsuchikage was too arrogant and underestimated Gaara for being a young Kage the whole meeting.
Danzo being in the room to hear this is just the icing on the cake. The cruel irony of his character is that he goes to awful lengths to protect his village, yet by doing so created the Village's deadliest enemies (Pain, Sasuke, Orochimaru, etc.)
@@Silver_meteor0418 Danzo is responsible for Pain's arrival due to the history of the Akatsuki and a bit of Pain's own history. See, the group was started by three orphans who were made orphans by the Second Great Ninja War (their names being Yahiko, Nagato and Konan). They were eventually taken in and trained as ninja by Jiraiya for a year. After that, Jiraiya left them on their own because they could defend themselves, now. And then they grew up and eventually founded the Akatsuki. The Akatsuki actually started out with the best of intentions, wanting to create a world of peace so that no kid will ever become an orphan again, basically a team of superheroes much like the Avengers or the Justice League but then here's where Danzo comes in. The Akatsuki was on its way to making peace in the Hidden Rain Village by agreeing to a treaty between themselves and Hanzo the Salamander. Danzo didn't want this to happen because he didn't want peace in the Hidden Stone Village and I guess he knew that if the Akatsuki grew, that could actually be achieved. So, he basically pulled a false flag op by having some of his own men disguised as bad ninjas who were causing chaos and hurting people in some town near the Hidden Rain Village. The Akatsuki came, and rightfully put a stop to it by killing those ninjas. After that, Danzo's own men had disguised the corpses left behind as some of Hanzo's men. He deceived Hanzo into thinking that the Akatsuki were deceiving *him* and so, Konan was kidnapped by Hanzo, and later, when they rendezvoused with Hanzo for the official signing of the treaty or whatever, Hanzo came with an army of his own men and Danzo's men and told Nagato to kill Yahiko because Yahiko was the Akatsuki's leader at the time. And if he didn't do it, Hanzo would kill Konan. And so, Yahiko sacrificed himself to make sure his two friends lived. Nagato was angered by Yahiko's death and used his Rinnegan to summon the Gedo Statue, which had killed all of Hanzo and Danzo's men and, since he didn't want to actually die, Hanzo escaped, leaving Konan alive. And so, on that day, he became Pain, allied himself with Obito, and turned the Akatsuki into something that resembles the Brotherhood of Mutants from the X-Men comics just a little bit.
Gaara. The character who started as being hated by everyone but later turns into one of their fav. The growth of Gaara shows how a Little touch of love, acceptance and trust can mend a person heart in a different outcome❤❤❤
If you see closely, it was never Naruto to bring the allied shinobi forces together. It's always Gaarra. He managed to bring the will within shinobi world forward to work together for sake of his friend, Naruto. I'm glad chunnin exams were held and Gaarra met Naruto that day.
@@malachidavis5652nah I don’t only thing I know is it’s a one piece episode lmfao, I’d just look for a thumbnail where they are wearing these fits (goodluck)
This right here is what makes Naruto one of greatest series ever in most series gaara could’ve easily been a throwaway villain with no motivation but gave him such great character development
Gaara: " Signore, mi conceda una domanda se posso?" Onoki: " Tu giovanotto puoi chiedermi tutto cio' che vuoi..." Gaara: " Bene, mi dica perche' vi siete arresi e perche siete fuggiti?! " Onoki: Ma questo ragazzo....?
Garra reminded everyone there that they were all once idealists who sought to change the world for the better, but they let the evil of this world overcome their convictions and eventually they just became part of the problem and not at all the solution. Ohnoki especially with all his scheming and even hiring the worst terrorist organization the world has ever seen. So yea look down on me because I'm young sure, but I'm the only one here who hasn't failed.
"If we stop trying to understand and trust each other... all that will remain is fear and terror. Strategy that does not incorporate morality, and giving up, are things that I no longer accept easily" Garra
It's Gaara moment's like this that remind you of the void gaara had & growth as a character with the literally tattoo of "Love" on his forehead, one might think that was something that shook the kage we as English Americans don't see it that way too often..
