Just just came across this piece linked to in an old post. Wanted to comment to let you know how utterly moving and impactful it still is. I was in college at Berkeley during the attack, and my roommate and I got up and haphazardly switched on the news as we got breakfast ready and were fllored by what we were seeing. That is had already happened by the time we woke up didn't change the impact. We gave up on breakfast as we wept. When we went out into the streets everyone everywhere was crying and holding each other in groups trying to find some solace and some sense. I wish it weren't only massive tragedies that seem to bring people together like this, but your art is beautiful and moving and I cried all over again. I've subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing the version 2 from your perromance in LA. Thank you so much for performing this and sharing it with folks on this accessible platform.

This actually just came in super clutch for me and a coworker. The latch was loose and easy to engage. We stepped out for dinner and when we got back. Room was locked from the inside. Hotel staff and maintenance both as confused as us. A quick YT search and you have helped get us back into our room thank you.

i took out all the inner mechanisms and melted a bottle cap onto the end of the straw to seal it off. works great i just take the cap off and pour it right out of the bottle neck

Engineers have to work within set parameters. If you give engineers, no parameters and just tell them to solve a problem. They'll come up with the most overcomplicated yet satisfying invention for it, but if you give them parameters they make boring stuff.
@@clonescope2433 ehh as an engineer I’m ultimately super lazy so I would rather just make something simple and move on. In this case the racing can has existed for a long time so I probably would have just made it like exactly like that and went home.
