Im 40 and grew up on barefoot Bob. When I first saw Timmy race a late model was the day I knew he had officially made Bob proud. It would be a hell of a send off to see him win this 10 race playoff. I'd bet it.
A small track being narrower is fine (not saying pennsboro is smaller). I’ve never seen a race there. But on a big track like this they need a wider race surface with these new being so air dependent. With a wider race surface they can run different lines to keep air on their nose, especially these big tracks. If they don’t have air the will push the nose and lose a lot of speed.
It’s the premier dirt track in the United States. The facility itself is something Eldora can’t touch. It’s no dump. It just doesn’t fit him or his driving style. There are plenty of us that love running there.
Once you get out of Iowa most people don't think Knoxville is the Mecca of dirt racing . Like the man said it's usually way too narrow and too wet for LMs. Tracks like Eldora and Volusia have figured out how to create great racing on a fast half maybe someday those nose pickers in Iowa will too .

Schatz claims that the All Stars being bought by High Limit is going to hurt Pennsylvania and Ohio racing. Realistically, what is hurting Pennsylvania and Ohio racing the cost. Central Pennsylvania tracks chose to follow WOO rules which increase the cost of racing. 1. Engines 50k - 75k 2. Hoosier tires has a monopoly on the sport and can charge high prices with no competition. 3. Parts all being light increase cost. The racing in the 80s was just as good and the cars were heavy. High Limit isn't killing local sprint racing it is just the cost and the rules.
