You have to tune a nitro car every time you drive it. You can't just leave one setting and keep driving it. There are a lot of good tuning videos on RU-vid. It takes practice, you can hear and see on the video, it's too lean. That will kill a nitro quick.
Don’t know if you moved on from the engine, but always go with a rich setting for the break in but obviously not too rich to where it’s not hot enough to burn fuel. I’ve had good results with the traxxas break in method, go through all 5 tanks and the tune it on the 6th tank for performance but once again never too lean.

dear then, it's not an engine idle problem. I noticed that when you brake the car drops to the exact RPM, so when you let off the throttle the servo isn't actually closing the entire carburetor, but only closing it when you brake. adjust the servo, when you don't apply the gas the engine must idle, not only when you brake
