The Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of North Carolina was founded in 2008, with Swami Sarvadevananda Maharaj of Southern California as our spiritual leader. The society has many members within the Triangle area, and is blessed with frequent visits from swamis.

One of our major goals is to disseminate the teachings of Vedanta, and to encourage understanding, and spiritual practice among our members, as well as our broader community.

Vedanta is a non-denominational philosophy, which stems from the Sanatana Dharma --the religious tradition of India which is rooted in the Vedas-- and it offers teachings on how Service, Philosophy, Devotion and dedicated spiritual practice can lead us toward realization, and purify our lives.
