I use the direct cut a lot with the .04 outline around my stamped image. AND when I want a shadow of the same image. After I have done the direct cut of my stamped images I use the back arrow and adjust the outline to .08. I place my shadow cardstock in the exact location as the previous piece of cardstock (with the stamped images) and I select cut and it cuts the images in a bigger version. I then layer the 2 images. The important thing is you have to hit the back arrow and cut your shadows before your machine turns off. I am sure you know all this. But I felt like sharing. Thanks!
Cut out 2 large sand dollars with Gold Foil. Black Cardstock for the box - 4" x 3 1/4". Score @ 1" all around (each side). Watch video at 14.31 to miter the edges.

Paper Chief, I hate to bother you, but want know if you’ve ever run into this problem. (You helped me the last time I called on you - but) I created my own pattern to decorate the little coffee cup, you have done one - anyway I traced the cup (to make the decorative pattern, I traced it on to dsp, used a magic marker, when I cut it on dsp, it cut the pattern twice, a very thin one (less than an 1/8” & the regular one, I wanted. When I enlarged it the machine had a second diagram under it. Was that because I used a magic marker? Thanks 🙏

Kim, I stamped a greeting onto some patterned paper and wanted to cut around the greeting. machine is not picking up the stamped image. I have tried the colored image and black and white to all degrees with no luck. machine wants to cut out the square of paper. The paterned paper is a very muted geographical map. Any advice?
