Unfortunately I cannot share the pattern with you that I am knitting except to say that it is based off of the Pixie Dust Cowl by Kay Jones. The reason I can't share details is because it is a pattern the Bakery Bears shared with their patrons over on their Patreon account. I'm like you when it comes to just wanting to knit one kind of thing. Right now its socks, socks, socks. But I also really want to get some rows done on the aaron sweather I'm hoping to have done by the fall, but the socks are calling.
It’s funny how we go in phases like this, isn’t it? I tend to think our brains push us in the direction of what we need. Different projects are fulfilling in different ways. Happy making!

Rather we build the memory of that person and the loss into our lives. I love all the new colors and hope to order soon. It's so freeing to decide not to finish a project. You are so right about processing grief… probably why ever once in awhile someone who’s been gone for years resurfaces because of a memory and then we are right back in the grief we thought we had worked through. I'm in the process of a big move and I had to be serious about the projects that I was enjoying. I knit because I enjoy it, so I've learned to let go if it isn't making me happy. Love your new colours, btw.

I really love what you said about casting on and frogging things. I'm kind of "casting-on" knitter, I love my finished objects, but I'm not able to finish all what I started. So I was feeling guilty about this. But you are totally right and I see it now, that we not always start something with a finished project in mind, but also with other reasons. Thank you for that!

I am crocheting the “Crochet Advent Baby Blanket” by Lucienne Crochet using the 20 gram Berry Fun Yarns 2023 Advent. I am running Knit Picks Stroll Bare with each color mini as well as with the Linen accent Color. I’m currently on day 15 mini so still have a ways to go but loving how it is turning out. I just finished a crochet blanket for my grandson last night, still have a knit and a crochet blanket to finish for myself! I want to start some hats and socks. I keep seeing people making hot water bottle covers, so want to try that. The blanket binge was good last year, but need to finish many projects.

Yes, poorly is a word we use a lot in the UK, funny like you say, different countries say different things, for eg, in crocheting, UK terminology is different to US, so confusing, it is to me, at least, anyway, keep warm & safe.
