A fabulous writing team and the originators of the TV sitcom. Hancock's Half Hour broke ground in 1956 as Britain's first major TV sitcom, as well as giving an iconic episode with 'The Blood Donor'. Steptoe and Son gave us a fresh take on the father and son dynamic and a brilliant chemistry in Corbett and Brambell. The ability to mix comedy with the unamusing was their genius. God rest their souls and thanks for this ❤ 😊

A friend and I have watched the whole series twice. I’m on my third round. Poirot is extraordinary. Nobody, but nobody will be able to fill that role ever again. It belongs to David Suchet.

Having seen 'The Birds' as a boy in my early teens, I thoroughly enjoyed it even though it scared the crap out of me. I have always held Tippi's acting ability and her flawless beauty in high regard, but having found out about Hitch's crush on her much later, I wish she had stated that "at least he didn't pull a Harvey Winestein on me", but the Me Too thing happened after this interview. Alfred Hitchcock is still a genius. His work can't be compared.

Is there anyone better on Hitchcock than Camille Paglia? She's feisty, smart, passionate and talks up a storm. A feminist who refuses glib labels, cant and fashionable orthodoxies.

By the way Tiziano Sclavi is not dead. However, knowing Tiziano's wicked sense of humour and taste for ghoulish, he was surely flattered by knowing that Rupert Everett in person ranks him among the dead.

Despicable behavior - calculated sexual harassment. Unfortunately many women experienced this after this was filmed.

Tippi Hedren still looks good in this video. She will always be Melanie Daniels. The girl that was treated weird. Because of the bird attacks. I don't think The Birds needs a remake. Psycho didn't need a remake either. 🐦🦜

My first poirot book is "Roger Akyord", i read before watching all tv series of agatha Christie, but it funny, what i imagine about Poirot is really look like him (Suchet), a little man, have head like an egg, people think he is clown, and very wise personal.

Why Peter Fonda was ever intimidated by his dad is beyond me. Peter was part of a new movement in film that absolutely redefined the era. It left old Hank Fonda's era in the dust. He had absolutely no reason to feel intimidated by Hank. Henry Fonda's America was over. That America was gone.

I love both Smoke and Blue in the Face which I saw when they came out. I haven’t seen Lulu on the Bridge. Sadly none of these films are easy to find nowadays. It’s a shame that the film d’auteur has given place to the Marvel comic heroes. Cinema now is dead.

Was this supposed to be a celebration of Hitchcock or a personal bashing of the late director ? Remember this is the same woman who called Hitchcock a "fat pig" in front of the whole set on mamie. Now spends 15 minutes explaining victimhood. While I agree Hitchcock's supposive behavior toward her was not acceptable, he risked everything pulling a no name actor from a TV commercial, putting her in a starring role. She basically owes all her fame to this guy. Doesn't make it right what she accused Hitchcock of doing but her tell all book was the first clue of retaliation in the form of money and spite.

That's so funny he'd mention the chocolate vending machine. Whenever I talked to my friends about this film I'd say the only truly unbelievable thing about it was that the vending machine was actually working. I remember the early 80s London and it was a shithole , everything was smashed up and broken.
